Thanks for the additional information, additional details and photos regarding this 24' Schiada "Masterpiece." Answers what information I was seeking from what you had posted earlier. Great job Dave on the info gathering and your additional photos. This Schiada is a truly amazing example of Schiada's attention to details and of their over the top craftsmanship.

You know, Im not a hater BUT... this is truly a beautiful boat. WHY would you make the whole boat perfect and mount a small Alum panel
for some switches here? I dont get it... They'd look better if it were part of the dash or on the left gunnel out of sight... Just my .02

I asked the owner the same question. His response was that is how it was done in the past. Just like the retro gauges the switch panel is done "in the style"

i agree on the switches... i dont think i would of put the speed coat on the bottom of the boat as well. i think it would look way cleaner if it was just all white. great looking boat dont get me wrong

The boat seems like it is full of personal touches or preferences. So I reckon he has some memory of something from childhood or something his family always wanted. Not sure how the owner squares the off panel of switches that is old school with his wood steering wheel with rocker switches. I don't remember wood wheels quite like that one and I don't remember any rocker switches on the steering wheels but I'm no historian. Perhaps that switch panel would look better if it's placement/location didn't look a bit like it was an afterthought.

Very impressive project. Great to see someone realize a dream that is for sure.
