The boat, in my eyes is 80% finished with the wiring. I won't mention the shop pretty much FUCKED me on that.

Most of the stuff appears to be hooked up, but the lights in the dash don't work, nav lights dont work and the stereo does not work :grumble:

Anyone have any recommendations that I can take the boat to get it fixed in the So Cal Area?

I just want someone that keeps their fucking word and gets it done right. Is that really so hard to ask?

That sucks man, too bad you aren't closer to mead :thumbsdown

There are so many fucked up wirer's out there, even in many of the "big name" shops (if you wanna call it that, shops that most people have heard of), their wiring is abhorent, which i don't get because it's not that difficult to wire 12vdc cleanly and properly. We've seen some efi engine harnesses come from certain shops that look like they were put together in a mexican trailer park, it's a surprise the engines even ran, and these were some big money motors, not cheesy bs.

Sorry Adam, but your shop screwed my dad and uncle over on their 27' Eliminator fun deck. They brought the boat down to you and the new system you installed sounded great, but the XM never worked. They kept callin you guys and one of you said you would fix it in parker as it was a minor issue. Multiple calls and nobody every came to fix it :thumbsdown

I would if I had a day to fix it. Besides work, all my time is going into getting the new crackerbox ready for the first race of the season

Wish I was closer too. I would have brought it too you so Racey Ind. could wire it for the second time and last another 20+ years :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

You would think the first shop I used would have gotten it right with the 2 Months it took them. But no, it's all jacked up

Thanks Dave. Trust me, If I would have know what was going to happen with the boat, I would have taken it straight to his shop in the first place.

Unfortunately it is "almost done". Just needs to be corrected and cleaned up so I will just find someone around here to get it done.

This boat saw more water in a year than the griz will see in 5 :skull

Mutha fucker you are crazy. The Griz is in the water and fully functional every weekend. It already has more water time this month then most will have this summer.

Just waiting on new CP Pistons so I can get the motor back together and in the boat. I'm trying to get everything lined up, so when the motor is back in the boat, I can take it straight over to get the wiring finished up.

Please don't.

I'm already away from the edge, I don't need to be brought back. I'm adding more speakers and that's it. That's it!!!

It's ok, it will be there to tow you in too.

I am in henderson and would like to find someone to re do the wiring under my instrument cluster and install new gauges and switches. Ive talked to a few people about getting it done but most of the shops in this town treat me as if they would be doing me a favor to actually do it. This is on an 89 sleekcraft enforcer if it sounds like something you could knock out could you PM me your contact info?

Hey Andrew, I can wire it for you. I just have a couple of questions. The battery has thos two things sticking up on the top. Does the wiring go to one of those or both? Also I have seen a few boats with a couple of different colors of wire in them I only use one color so just let me know what color you want...:p

i have been known to wire a few things.. Rewired my Schiada and all the smoke seems to stay in the wires. They do it in one color because it is cheaper to by one big role of wire.. And don't forget to get the yellow connectors to use on all the small wires too...:D ebay pics 516 (Medium).jpg

Not sure where you are located or how much wiring needs to be completed. I have used Smith Race Wire out of Upland for a few projects. He wired my prerunner, gave me hours of advice on my boat wiring project, and most recently completely rewired my CRF450. He is a one man show and his attention to detail is excellent. He has a secure shop, lives on site, and the building has an alarm. Pat doesn't run a storage facility like some boat owners seem to expect (free winter storage). When your project is completed he wants it out of there to make room for the next one.

I'm in Havasu and I've built a few hundred boats over the years. If you are going to be out this way, PM me and I'll take care of it for you. I do wiring to "USCG/NMMA" standards, which means the wires MUST BE at least the correct size (gauge) and color for the circuit it controls, and the breakers/fuses all 'step down' as the circuits divide out to their ends. Can do it this weekend if needed. PM with questions....
