Need Some Chili Help

So...... without getting into too many details, it has been quite the week for me. I unfortunately am not doing the chili cook-off. I ended up leaving my old company and offered to refund them their money for the booth that they paid for, but they refused and instead donated the booth to our local realtor board, who is putting on the chili cook-off. It was a real slap in the face and it really shows people's true colors. They have been extremely bitter.

I am super bummed, but I'm thinking about doing a cornbread and chili Christmas party at my house.

Thank you to everyone for the tips! I really learned a lot and I agree that beans do not belong in chili!!!

That guy is a good writer, he had some funny stuff in there.

To me, chili reminds me of my long gone family members, and the way they made it, the times together..

For me , putting beans in chili would be dishonoring there recipes.

But I will admit, i have to add beans sometimes, my wife is a CALIFORNIAN. Some things they just don't comprehend...
