Need a diesel shop in or near Corona for a Ford Excursion 7.3
Any recommendations?
Hasn’t run in 2 years. It’s completely dead and new batteries didn’t fix the problem.
thanks !

Completely dead as in it's still acting like the batteries are dead even with fresh batteries? No lights, dingers, or anything???

If you don't find a preferred specialty diesel shop in the corona area then maybe check in with Hamner Towing Inc. @ 2125 Railroad st. Corona, CA 92880, ‪(951) 734-9331 to see if they can help...It's a pretty busy service shop they run with usually good results.

Domestic Diesel in Chino. They may be busy but are worth it.

Since those steps are most certainly not a ford product and are aftermarket, I'm willing to bet says they have their own power and relays and switches wired direct to the batteries independent of the trucks electrical system. I would suggest following your main power leads from each battery and make sure everything is clean and not eaten up by rodents. Check all fuses! Gertrude (my 02 7.3 Excursion) has 2 fuse boxes, 1 under the hood and 1 under the steering wheel. All that being said, Excursions are notorious for the vehicle chassis computers going haywire and causing all sorts of electrical problems, even Gertrude has her gremlins and I've been putting off replacing mine for years now, if there is a direct major short within this box which is buried behind the fuse box under the steering wheel, I wouldnt put it past making everything else not want to work although that would be extreme as far as the extent of problems they are known to cause.

You could have something as simple as a bad or dirty chassis ground.

Or it's been sitting 2 years and he needs to get the fuel system reprimed. He made it sound like theres no ⚡⚡⚡⚡tho
Electric fuel system. Cycle the key 5 times for 30 seconds. 7.3's should start up fine. Had an 02 that would go sometimes a year without starting but would fire right up. Transmission needed some time to prime though.

They tend to be a little more stubborn than that if they get an air pocket in the high pressure side of things. I had a fuel filter bowl leak once upon a time and it was a bear to get the thing reprimed after sitting for a month with that leak letting it all drain out
