Buddies dock at oak shores about 6 hours ago. Naci is FULL! Can’t wait to get there this summer.

As of Thursday Feb 29 th, Nac is 87% full and is approximately 10 vertical feet from full. But Boatpi is correct, closed all Summer. Something to do with that Brain eating disease in the water 👀

Technically Naci is not "full" as the top of the Obermeyer spillway is 800' current level is at 793'. 780' is the top of the original concrete spillway. They will continue to allow pretty big releases until the water level stays down to about 780' which is more of the unofficial "operational full pool"

I’m here for the weekend and I live in Santa Maria.
Nice! Still a little chili up there…yup Santa Maria…thats what I thought. We talked about different ways to get through the valley. I took your advice on bypassing Arvin…way better thanks!

Welcome to Arroyo Grande! I drive by Lopez once or twice a week. Great place for glampping!

Boats stored Havasu. Thinking I might have to spend more time at Naci this year. Let me know when you’re there.

Yeah. 78% full?! Damn. That’s really high for that lake. 14’ from full
Pool right now.
Last time I was on San Antonio was in 2011-2012. Used to spend a lot of time there…stored my motorhome at one of the North Shore storage places, haul the boat up, launch, drop the trailer and go get the MH. The last time the lake was dropping about a foot a day…after that it became a pond until last year. North shore is the best place to camp and leave your boat in the water. Great beach's at 50%-70% full. Planning on taking my son and a bunch of his friends this summer. The last time it was actually full was around 2005-2007 I think. It's roughly 14 miles long. Great place for families…shoreline camping, general store and public showers. Just keep an I out for the Salinas crowd…bad element. If they want to camp next to you just tell them ya got five more families coming in…set up camp and park your vehicles accordingly. Kinda rope off your perimeter by separating your trailers, cars, motorhomes…make a compound so to speak.

I’d love to go back with the motorhome and boat. Would just be a chore. I remember going as a kid once a summer for change of scenery. I’d like to do it once with my kids. But the thought of dragging the boat home from Havasu taking the motorhome and one of our vehicles to tow the boat sounds like to much of a pia

Same thing that my wife said. Her family is 40 minutes from there. Are you related to my wife? LOL. It is an opportunity to create memories for the kids. DO IT!!! 👍

We most likely will once they’re old enough to remember. They’re 2 and 3 years old now. Maybe in another 3-5 years.

We are in the same predicament, would love to do some Naci boating but getting my boat from LHC to Naci is kind of a pain. Also my boat is AZ registered and hasnt seen California in many years so its even more of a hassle to launch it anywhere because its not in the system anywhere for the mussle inspection.

Don’t see where the A-to-Z registration should be a problem. Is this just something you learned on hearsay or is there actual experience? I think not being in the system would be a bonus.
Dunno?

I could be totally wrong but isnt there still a "quarantine" before I can drop the boat in the water?

There are a couple small local lakes that have quarantine but I don’t think naci does. As said, inspection must pass or you’re screwed. Not hard
