That C-4000 cat looks like the most functional go-fast style cat out there. Easy access from the water into the boat and that rear lounger is bad ass. I saw what is probably a gen 1 at Desert Storm in 2022, Backstage Pass, and thought to myself if I could ever afford a high dollar cat, the Mystic would be the one.

I had the pleasure of shooting the first 5200 for Mystic. It is a very classy boat on a level most CCs have not achieved. The new layout only amplifies that. Awesome boat.

Very cool boats but OBs are just plain boring. Not sure what else to say about it but the future is bleak for muscle lovers between OBs and electric, the thunder is dying.

Borla came out with an electric exhaust mounted speakers under the f150 lightning. Lol. I am with you I see where outboards have the maint appeal. But there is nothing like a big block idle

Cool write up, seems like she toned down the flourish a bit as well.

I can't imagine what the tooling required to produce that wrap around glass windshield is like. That coupled with somewhat limited volume must make for an interesting return on capital investment.

At this level I think most want longevity/reliability.

As far as outboards being boring go for a ride in an F2 boat or twin engine 22 DCB. Anything but boring.

To me it’s the same as when cars all started being made of plastic and looking identical from mfg to mfg.

There’s definitely give and take with power plant options. I go to the river to unwind. I hate having to fix stuff on vacation. Others enjoy it.

Very cool boats. I had the opportunity to have a drink with John Cosker and his crew at a hotel we were staying at Coconut Grove Marina. They were there for poker run support and I had to tend to a family matter. It was nice talking about boats for an hour. Really nice people and a class act.
