LMAO! After starting the thread by posting pictures of $200K fishing boats!
I was king of the river when I was 10 with a 12' mirrocraft and a 20 Merc. I guess times have changed.
That was the best boat I owned, the places I went and the good times I had in it. Finally wore it out five years ago and had to take it to the scrap yard. The amount of fun and lessons learned in an aluminum boat on Bull Shoals growing up,, don't even know where to start, but the scariest moment was being in the middle of the lake when lightning started hitting around us. We ran that boat 15' up onto the shore! I don't think my buddy even let off until he was running off the front of the boat behind me.
Dave,
For what it is worth, I would jump at it. I know you know all of this, but I am gonna say it anyway.
Time flies, my friend. I mean it runs at the speed of "what the heck I am 65...what happened?"
Fishing...for you it won't just be about fishing. It'll be time with your son, which is absolutely priceless.
You, and him, together...a quiet lake, a small(er) boat, and time.
Start slow but set him up for some level of success. He needs to remember they call it "fishing" not "catching" for a reason..but let him get a taste of what it is like to get a fish on. So many lessons, so much good...do it.
Things are changing again in my world, but we hope to get down the central sierras again this summer to do some fishing I will have a small boat with me, and you would be welcome to come up and hang out...
Yours now?
damn now I've gotta go get some ones!!! where's this at? Kokomo's?? oh wait a minute....damnit I got excited there for a min. There’s a striper derby this weekend

Takes a while to pull in a larger Mud Marlin. Its always when you have the light line setup in the water because Ray's can see extremely well. The challenge is getting them to the surface on that light line hence their nickname. Once in the boat they are difficult to deal with.Halibut, rockfish, perch and sharks mostly. I caught a ray once. Hope to never have to deal with that again. There are dolphins that come into the bay along with an occasional pod of orca's.

Well look at it this way...you caught a shark's cousin. It was on the first cast of a brand new carbon fiber rod my wife bought me. Broke the damn rod when I got it close to the surface.
I was thinking hell yeah! Brand new rod and I got a monster halibut!
Those SCB's are bada$$.... interesting their logo and branding...lines/star give a very DCB vibe... sick rigs!
lol...Never took Dave H as a rodeo guy...When it was called SCB it was a direct copy of the DCB logo.. which I guess is fine because the DCB logo was a direct copy of the PBR logo.. lol
There’s a semi/equipment trailer company now that pretty much ripped off the M series logo too lol. Landoll? I think is the name. When it was called SCB it was a direct copy of the DCB logo.. which I guess is fine because the DCB logo was a direct copy of the PBR logo.. lol
Now that is getting more kinky than I typically enjoy. It's missing the extra P
that was the joke..It's missing the extra P
I've seen plenty silver tacoma's at Femme Nu & 939.....just saying. Now that is getting more kinky than I typically enjoy.
@RiverDave didn't you do a lot of the aluminum work on the red PBR boat?lol...Never took Dave H as a rodeo guy...

Their logo is litterally the M series logo lolIf it’s Landoll they have been around long before DCB, like decades.

No this one. But ive seen them with the M that’s the same as DCBs
They have an “M trailer” and I swear it’s the same lol. Could just be meI’m not seeing it?
I see the font/design on the letter lettering/numbering is similar to M logo font...They have an “M trailer” and I swear it’s the same lol. Could just be me
I have fond memories of a particular Skeeter bass boat that the owner gutted and no longer used for fishing. He was touching the century mark with a 2.5 liter Merc! One of the fastest boats I've ever been in, it was unbelievable! If you got it, spend it, get it. That would definitely be balls to the wall running. I wonder how it is in a nasty chop. I'm about to buy a Skeeter WR 1910 for lake fishing. I was extremely impressed with how dry they are while handling a nasty chop.
