I look at CCs daily as well. Not much price movement yet and decent used ones are still North of $300k.

If the market does change, the sweet spot for me is likely going to be a 32-35’ 2014/2015 with triples. Really like the Nor-tech 34 and the Sunsation 32/34. My guess is probably an ocean boat out of Florida (or equivalent) as well.

Frankly I will probably have to settle for less than 400s however, that might not be the end of the world. Interesting discussion in this link on Nor-tech 34 and 39 power. https://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/general-boating-discussion/353109-nor-tech-340-vs-390-a-5.html

While I don’t wish financial hardship on anyone, a market reversal (or significant correction) this year or next, would be extremely helpful to my quest.

Wait is this message approved by @RiverDiva ?!?! 😆

Good luck with the sale and the ankle surgery. Can't wait to see what shows up in the fleet next.

I had planned on selling before thst. Lol. I love this thing but realistically it’s a little out of my financial range.. this boat belongs with someone with bigger bank accounts then me…

So the boat is bad ass but I got three things making me want to sell.

1. Probably gonna get an ankle surgery soon which means no boating for awhile.
2. Realizing that this thing is worth approximately 4-5 of any of the boats I’ve ever owned before.. (literally it costs more than 5 of my hallet 270’s or that 340, or my Schiada, or my nordic)
3. I had some fun with it.. but I kinda want a big vee to go run some spots in the ocean and other parts of the country to broaden the horizons to speak..
Smart move, hope the ankle finally gets relief.

Dave, whenever you are ready, I can give you the 411 on good all around boats that could be used in Havasu and go safely into the ocean, for Catalina trips, and more. There are too many to list.

About the same, BUT some of the upgrades RD did (stereo, flooring, trailer) are not on new ones.
Toons USED to be cheap, best thing toon manufactures did was up their game.

I'm a little surprised a manufacture wouldn't want to buy RDP exposure with a price break.

Maybe a East Coast CC manufacture trying to break into the West Coast market?

Or are they all doing too well now?

Mine stock no trailer I think is 250’ish?

They are all busy.. But that’s going to change in about 12 months

Dave…… Take a look at this 29’ Pursuit. It’s brand new, but the shipper damaged the hardtop, and broke windshield.

Starting bid……. 85k.

There is a 15% buyers premium on top of the winning bid and there is no trailer. Shipping the boat from Michigan on a semi with wide load permits is probably 15K. My guess is that it will sell for close to 200K, but you never know it could go cheap.

Did it sell?

Now that you have a film guy. Isn’t a pontoon like the best boat to do that on? It’s also fast enough to catch or keep up with some of these boats?

Are we gonna get less videos once it goes?

If it hasn’t sold it won’t be long before it does.

Not yet. Honestly I love the boat. I’m totally fine if it doesn’t sell. We just don’t use it enough. Our film guy is not happy about losing the film platform. He loves this boat as well. I’m sure he can’t wait to shoot from a 21’ v drive.

What’s the Bimini upgrade that prevents a Bimini from failing in the heat? I have never had one fail in the heat or have to upgrade one?
@RiverDave I'll second the motion on this, any chance you could take some pics of the fix? The bimini on my Bennington keeps pulling out of the track. Dealer doesn't know what to do and hauling the boat down to Havasu isn't really an option. Pretty sure if I show my local trimmer he can copy the fix and solve the problem.

The tracks get hot on the front of the arch and gets soft and the Bimini pulls out.. the answer to the problem is to make a secondary piece that goes up and over the track and then connects to 1/4 turns or snaps on top of the arch so the track doesn’t have any stress on it. I don’t care if mine is or isn’t in that track anymore because it’s irrelevant.

All of them regardless of brand do this and have to be fixed.

So, like a fabric tab or flap that gets sewn to the bimini and then mechanically attaches to the tower? Does it run the full width of the rail?
