Yesterday afternoon my nephew Andrew came home from school and killed himself. His mom found him in his room. That's all I know right now.

He was a loving, smart kid. He had just finished his Eagle Scout project and his dad had bought him a car. My wife talked to him three weeks ago and he was his normal talkative self. His dad said he had been completely normal until yesterday.

So young, such a nice young man.

Please say a prayer for his mom and dad.

Don't even know What to say to this...

I found Andrew's obituary online earlier today, and seeing a photo of his smiling face made me break down in tears. From birth to death in just sixteen years.

My wife is already in Abilene, I'm leaving Plano in the morning with my son and grandson. The funeral is tomorrow afternoon.

The visitation was tonight, there were over 600 people there. Most of them were Andrew's friends and classmates. I'm so sad, didn't he know how much he was loved?
