This movie just showed up on the DVD list at the store, never heard anything about it. Anyone watch it?
Thumbs up or down.

Just saw it last night, it was supposed to be about the story or don aronow, but the movie does not even come close to the real story. Mix that with poor CGI effects and boats/motors/cars that arent period correct and you have a great recipe for a sleep aid. Tired to make it through the movie but ended up getting a great nap in instead

was thinking this might be a good airplane movie to watch, but sounding like it doesn't qualify for that either

Whatever. It’s cool to see a cafe racer 35 in a movie again.

People are just hating because no one will ever make a movie about Elimantor lol

We just watched this last night. The story was fun, but the way it was done was terrible. Funny, my parents happened to be out and watched it with us and they enjoyed it. I mentioned how much of it was incorrect and my dad said he feels the same way about all the shit westerns and how none of them accurate whatsoever.

I guess the trick is, just watch movies about stuff you know nothing about and you will enjoy them more. hahaha!

I dunno, I thought it was entertaining. Isn't that what movies are suppose to be? Historically accurate, meh, who cares it was fun. But, gotta agree some of the special effects, weren't so special. The racing in the storm. :D:cool:

Oh yeah, we all thought it was entertaining. I couldn't tell you the difference between a 68 Cig and a 71 so it didn't matter to me. My dad is an old crotchety guy that is super particular about westerns being accurate in terms of gear used etc and he just struggles to watch new stuff. hahaha.

Yep, the accuracy doesn't bother me either. His dealings with the mob? Thats gotta be at least partially true I guess? Sounds like we had the same father. He was so particular about period correct firearms being used, it made watching movies with him a bit of a task.

He would go get his historical firearm reference material to prove to me that he was right.

Let me preface; I love my father more than life itself. However, he is 75 and it's his way or the hwy. If he doesn't like something by God you will know about it. We watch Top Gear / The Grand Tour together as he is a car guy too. Every time they show an electric car or a Jag XKE he has to say what a "God damn piece of shit" they are and "Why would anyone in their right mind buy one of those pieces of shit". hahaha.

Watching a western is torture if it is anything later than Tombstone. Lot's of inaccuracies in that, but for some reason he let's that slide. He get's to pick and choose what he likes for sure. hahaha! God bless my father.

@beaverretriever

Have you ever tried to explain to your father why a top end, carbon bike costs what it does? :D:D:D

Lucky for me, my parents have always supported me through racing and especially as a Jr. He is a gear head, so he gets technology that goes in to a good bike. However, he always says for the money in all my bikes, I could put more money in to my track car. hahahaha!

Mine never got it. He would simply shake his head and walk away.

My first sprint Tri, I did really well, he was there. I sucked at running and was just average in the pool. But on the bike, I made up for all my inadequacies. Afterwards, he said "I'm proud of you, or should I just be proud of that bike" I got his meaning. Parents.

Just saw it on Amazon Prime.
You had to know right out of the gate that this would be bad. The small boat running around was a version of the Donzi Sweet 16.....Which came much later. Then referencing twin engines with only 2 tailpipes? Comanche Powerboats a reference to Apache Poweroats. Ben instead of Don. It was Ben Kramer owner of Apache who went to prison regarding drug money laundering and a suspected employment of the Don Aronow hit man. It could have been god but it really didn''t play well at all. The USA 39 cat was actually a split down the middle version of a Cigarette V-bottom. It could have been really good. But....

Other than the cgi (which I don’t know how that made it to the final cut) I thought it was entertaining
