So the other night I was talking to my friends Chris and Krystalin and we decided we were gonna play some monopoly.. Well we had some other friends Troy and Kelly stop by and they decided to play as well.
I'm gonna say I haven't played monopoly since I was a kid.. Holy shit is that game ruthless and nothing like I remember it. It truly is the game of life. With six people the properties all got bought up and were spread out, and the negotiations were crazy.
Troy would have won, but he had to leave before he game was up, so everything got forfeited back to the bank.
I missed collecting rent once (you have to collect before the next player rolls and I was bullshitting drinking beers)
on one of my hotels and that little fuck up changed the dynamic of the game for me where i was having cash flow problems from there on out.
I ended up in second place and my buddy Chris ended up winning. It's strange reflecting back on the game seeing how one little fuck up can start you on a path, and one or two right decisions can set you for life.
If you haven't played in awhile invite some friends over (in particular business owners) and watch how it unfolds. You won't be disappointed. Oh and however long you think it's gonna take? X 2 or 3.
