interesting subject. to me he is basically talking about material things and status type shit. sure i can see his point with what he is saying. once you have the best, anything less just wont work.. or its now beneath you to stay in a crappy hotel or drive a common car. sound slike a drug addict actually.


my thoughts if money would make me happy, is yes it would. It wouldn't be because i could buy whatever car or boat i wanted (which i would ) but it would allow me to experience more things in life than i have not been able to with limited income and budget/time constraints.

I rarely post other than our trucks however I felt so inclined... I'd have to say it's all perspective gents. This is mine... my parent's are well off.. big house in Canyon Lake, rental properties, my pops has his toys and they don't need for anything. Last year both he and my mother were diagnosed with cancer at the same time. My mother is in the clear, however my pops is stage 4 and we will lose him. During a recent heart to heart me and my father had he expressed to me that chasing "the dream" all his life and ultimately fulfilling it, it wasn't until his and my mother cancer diagnosis that he realized that all of his toys, vacations, homes, and money didn't amount to dick.. He'd trade it all for his health and more time on this earth. I suppose one can argue money can buy happiness, until the choice isn't theirs... Money may be able to buy moments of happiness but it definitely can't buy joy.

Money buys things and your freedom. Being happy is more complicated and has a number of elements to it , money being one of them.
