Sorry to hear and I can relate. The wife's brother has much the same story as your's. While they were kids he was her best friend but you know how that goes. He passed away a few weeks ago and while there is no love lost between him and I the wife is still having a bit of a time coming to terms with the loss of her last relative.

Well heard from mom a little bit ago.. he’s at the park now. I expect that deal will end up with him in jail. If it doesn’t I’d be very surprised. Either way like I said it was nice seeing him for a couple days normal’ish

So sad......They just can't stand to be normal. Can't help themselves and repeat the destructive acts until they roll their final ball.

My BiL brought back demons from the Nam that he could never escape. Felt like he didn't deserve a normal life and finally took his to unload that which he could not face.

Well I got the call, he won’t be returning to my moms place. He must have drank or smoked weed or something because he was all over the place. He will be in jail a few hours I’m sure.

I bet those couple of days with him were bittersweet. You probably had some moments where he was your old brother again and of course you just wanted to try to protect him from himself but the reality is he's a different person now and that's a tough one to work out.

Sorry to hear you have been going through all that. Sounds like you did the best you could and should have done. Been in your shoes for the past 25 years with my brother and you have already accomplished more than I ever will. Glad you got to see your mom and brother though. Well just for a turn of events I guess he didn't end up going to jail and he is back at her house. That said I know she's looking for a place for him ASAP. I'm not sure what happened or is happening because she doesn't tell me too much about it anymore.

Sorry to hear this RD. My uncle was the same way in and out of prison his whole life. My grandma would always bail him out or give him her last dollar. It pissed my mom off and my mom would barely speak to her. Its a shitty situation and I hope it all works out for your family.
