We were street racers in the 60's/70,s Cadre would hang out in parking lots A&W , Foster Freeze, etc and cruising Marsh and Higuera in SLO ,waiting for a party or a race , My 56' Belair was my second car (and hell between stoplites) , then went to a 64 SS 409 and to my 63 Corvette . When the movie came out our whole wild bunch hit the Obispo Theater every nite for a week EDIT thats also where I met my wife of 49 years

I flew from Chicago to Iowa in a twin prop 8 seater in the dead of winter, tons of de-ice sprayed before we left, flying over those frozen, barren fields I could picture the night the music died, kinda sad looking down.

Paradise Road

I took some pictures of the road about 10 years ago. It still, for the most part, looked the same. I drove down it about a year ago, and it is all vineyards on that side of the road. Looked totally different.

There is actually a Paradise Road outside of Modesto. I always wondered if they used that road or just some road in San Rafael.
