This is why you use 4 bolts up top and 2 in the lower holes. Oh, and it helps if you actually tighten the bolts too, and is a great example of why you do what the manual says and retorque them after a few hours of use.

We might just use 9/16” bolts on yours instead of 1/2” as well. That’s what the big boys are doing...

And yes, to take off the tie bar? That external bracket would have made for some great leverage to hoist that thing back up onto the transom with a few lines.

I only glanced at the bolts holding mine to the crate, but they looked like 3/8. I wonder if they used those bolts?
Hard to tell by the video, but they didn't look like 1/2"....

Which is what's supplied with the engine.

At around 2 minutes into vid you can see it starting to come loose. Guys are too focused on making a BS video than actually paying attention to what was going on.

If you pause the video when it is on the ramp, you can clearly see a shorn bottom bolt and the outside upper bolt is now missing. Immagonnaguess that one of those two gave up the ghost and then the engine just busted itself off the transom. It wouldn't suprise me when (or if) they bring it up that the motor bracket is broken.

Still, I dig the cockpit "skid", mounted on a suspension.

Supposedly this gizmo cures fartwater...


Hot water here has a bad sulpher smell. "Fartwater"...
It's a reaction between the anode, either magnesium or aluminum not sure which was in the old hot water heater. Going to toss one of these at the new one and see. The reviews look promising.
