Micro Burst Hit the Island

A microburst hit our lake a few years ago. We went out boating and left floats out chairs, etc. A bad storm.came through. About 1 mile down the.lake a roof got blown off a house. Our floats and folding chairs did not.move an inch.

Even though I wasn't quoted, yes it raised Powell almost 18', But has since lost about 7'. On average Powell is losing 1-2 tenths a day. I think their hoping it won't reach this years low before winter hits.

That was weird. Dead still to blowing like a banshee within minutes. Cut my jacuzzi time short

They're notoriously shallow rooted and fall often in strong winds. Fortunately in Havasu the ground is not saturated and soft.
