Jump into a 41’ regulator. While it is 41’ these boats are MASSIVE. Guy said it’s a great “family boat”. Made it sound like our version of a deckboat but you can fish off it.. lol.

Is this like the Seakeeper Ride?

No, a seakeeper is basically a gyro.. They spin a peace of metal at rpm and makes it so the boat will ride smoother, and won't rock in waves etc.. These blade deals are basically like a trim tab, but instead of using a long tab, it's a small blade that peeks out from the bottom of the boat that creates the lift.. You'd think it'd be a ton of drag, but the guy made a point that it takes very little blade to create a ton of lift.

The Seakeeper Ride is something different from their gyro. It's really an intelligent trim tab.

Wow! That's pretty impressive! This product is different, butI would believe would produce similar results.

The Sea Keeper looks like a really really nice product.

Really does, doesn't it?

I may insist upon one in my next boat.

This one has the same cooler design as you will see.. but I think the rain head shower built into the hard top makes up for it.. lol. That is gangster AF.

These things are floating night clubs.. one of the new options people are picking is CO2 blasts.. so the boat will produce fog and cold blasts of air etc.. 😳
This thing is beautiful!!

Thanks RD. Lotsa great and innovative stuff. The back and ass cushions in the tiny head of that Glasstream were certainly very unique. Or were those cushions just stowed in there? Not a great place to hang out.

They were just stored in there, those are the cushions to make it a full size bed underneath

Great coverage Dave, unreal the amount of boats there.

I just learned that FL has 6% sales tax with a max cap of $18,000 so anything over 300k you will only pay 18k.

I just need to know how to afford a 300k boat.

So my thoughts on this years boat show.

I might be in the minority, but I really liked it better at Marine Stadium as opposed to the new format. When it was at Marine Stadium you had to take a water taxi to get across (which was a nice little boat ride in itself), but the boats were all on the docks and if the manufacturer wanted to go run one, they just untied it from the dock and went for a quick rip.

The last couple of years it (as always) is in several locations. The convention center is one location.. Then they have the "in water" boat show which while isn't far geographically was 45 to an hour with traffic to get to it.

This year Mercury had a private event down at Coconut grove which was every bit of an hour away from either location. DCB / Outerlimits and a few others were down there for in water demo rides. If you went to the Miami Boat Show and solely went to see DCB and weren't aware of this fact then there was no way to see them, or Outerlimits. Point in fact if you didn't know about the Mercury event you'd just never find them no matter where you went, because you pretty much had to be invited to go down to it.

I heard Jeff and Tony talking about it and they liked it better because they felt it qualified people better before they were going to go run the boat. I have a different opinion that how would you attract "NEW" customers if they never knew you were there?

Justin from Positive Trim and Paul etc.. Flew in to check out the show and in Justin's words he really wanted to see primarily DCB and Outerlimits especially the SV29 with outboards. Being they only had two days to check out the show before they went on their cruise, they opted not to go all the way to coconut grove because of the travel and hoops you gotta jump through to even see anything.

Anyhow, the Miami show is still king of the hill for me as far as boat shows are concerned, and I love everything about Florida and Florida boating. I hope to do a lot more of it in the future.
