A few weeks a go I bought a 3 stage metal wax kit at the boat show from Sanger Mike. I was impressed with him and his product so I shelled out a few bucks and went on my way. Today I decided it was time to try it out and see for myself how well or not well it worked. I polished out the aluminum rims on my car, I have always used Mothers Mag Polish in the past and it is not a pleasent task. Well with METALWAX this was not the case that shit kicks ass and made very easy work out the task at hand. I'll admit the first rim I did not read the direction and it used stage 2 & 3 in the wrong order and it went okay, however I remeber during the demonstration that there was a specific order so on the second rim I followed the correct order (like the directions say;)) the 3 different bottles are supposed to be used in. The result was a great shine with hardly any effort compared to Mothers Mag Polish. Now here is the kicker, usually when I am done (useing Mothers) my hads are black and have to be scrubbed several time and smell like mag polish for a while. With METALWAX The residue washed right off my hands and there is no residual smell. anyways I am sold on the product and am a customer for life.

Good to know. I recall reading a review that had some good things to say about Metal Wax.

Well... it wasn't a review, exactly. The guy hadn't used it yet. It was more of a commentary on an impressive demo.

something sorta similar to an unfinished boat show report

I've never had any luck polishing anything. I even bought powerballs and every kind of polish Autozone sells. I try to avoid buying rims or anything that's bare polished aluminum anymore.

I have the complete kit and can bring it to the river this weekend if you want to try it Paul.

Just wanted to add that I'm flat out blown away at the Metalwax product. The High Performance metal cleaner simply erases rust and pretty much anything in its way, truly an amazing product. Extremely happy with the rusults. I have a few scratches on my boat trailer that have been rusted, the cleaner just wipes the rust away, I then waxed the trailer has never looked so good.. Just finished up the tower on my boat, it looks better then when I bought it. Thanks Mike... I'm a fan... :thumbsup
