Just changed the reeds on both my motors (300X) and wondered if in need to prime the oil pump. The only oil lines that were disconnected, were the ones from the reed plate assembly. Do I need to go through the oil pump prime procedures? There are a few different ways to do it, but don’t know if it’s needed after pulling the plenum and reed plate assembly off for a reed job.

Thanks

It's not a bad idea but it resets the break in schedule. If you don't want to go through that just mix a tank at 100:1.

It's more of a thing if the supply side of the pump was disconnected.

If you prime it with the DDT, you won’t restart break-in.

Anyone in Havasu other than Fallon that can do this with the DDT?
