Yep the Little Colorado . We looked at Greer when buying a cabin but liked Alpine better . Go fish Bunch , Tunnel and River Resevoir .

Alpine? Where? We are always looking for new places to visit. Especially if it’s green, trees, water, fishing, hiking. Can’t do the heat anymore. I guess we are “sweat birds”!

Ok just for you. Finally got to Somerset yesterday and went to dinner and had a bourbon flight because we are in Kentucky duh. Charred Oak whisky grill.

Take the 373 out of Greer back to the 260 . Take the 260 east to Eager . Take the 191/180 south to Alpine . Just before you get to Alpine on the right you will see a sign to Big Lake . After you check out Alpine go check out Big Lake . Make sure you fuel up in Eager . The pumps in Alpine are being replaced .

Love Big Lake. Used to camp and fish there late 70’s early 80’s before the campground went to concessionaires and you have to have a reservation. Heard it’s Hard to get a space now with all the Phoenix area crowd making a pilgrimage every summer. Still a pretty country up there.

Current situation…
Put a tri tip on the smoker and went to a movie with my Son Luke. Tip hit 131 upon arrival home…wrapped and sent it to 200. Luke has a last little project for extra credit before starting Cal Poly SLO in the fall. This will be waiting for him when he gets home. Work tomorrow then Luke and I pull 2500+ Flags for our fallen Soldiers at our local cemetery at dusk.

Did some wheelin' Old Sierra Madre Road 1 other truck and maybe 4=6 Adventure bikes and that was it. Break for lunch and wife airing me back up. Decided to come home today and just about flew home, absolutely no traffic!
