Adam Carolla made a couple really good documentaries that feature the GT 40. The 24 Hour War and Shelby American. Hard to believe Shelby wanted the GT40’s from LeMans just dumped in the ocean so he didn’t have to pay to bring them back to the US. They didn’t dump them in the ocean, but couldn’t hardly give them away when they got back.

And a 1969 Mira S sold for 1.7 mil, a lot of money for a 1969. Worth 5g in 1970.

Wow, that’s an unreal car with a hell of a lineage. These things typically go quietly away for years. Will be cool to see when it pops up again. I imagine it will only increase in value.

One of these years, this one might hit the market.

Owner lives out here in Colorado. Good friend of mine knows him personally. I've met him a couple times. Original owner (the one driving) Bought it brand new and still has it. Has the original window sticker and dealer paperwork.

One owner Hemi Daytona. Probably push $5 Mil.

Could have bought 2 of these for that price-

Bought my 72 Challenger 340, it was about 5k, with taxes out the door. Owner of a body shop I knew had a blue Daytona Hemi wing car for sale for 3k. Took him 3 years to sell it. Other than Richard Petty's car built for a purpose, I thought the wings looked goofy back in those days for the street.:p
