Spots on tongue she is part chow and Shepard I think.

After the "incident" last night, I hope Stacy let's her stick around a little longer. She seems like a loving dog, and a total sweetheart, but obviously we just found out she has a little fire in her.

I have it on good authority that your new pup will squat and pee when she meets someone new, then wipe it all over the floor with her tail. Get'm killer. :D

I'm glad you got a new pup Dave.:thumbsup

Cornballs and her had a disagreement. None of us saw what happened. She had Corny pinned down. Who knows what he did, dogs like to get their pecking order straight I guess. I think Stacy wants to be really careful with the baby though.

Let's just say that she handled business really fuckin quick and it took us all by surprise.

Maybe those spots aren't so much genetic but stains from the effort of assembling a human scrotum collection?

That would indeed be a pecking order situation that would end either with one incident or a few. It should stop. If it doesn't it's easy to fix.
Dave, how do you feed the two dogs. Dry kibble on the floor in two bowls all day long or do you prepare meals for the dogs? Food is a big factor in establishing a pecking order and is a useful tool for you to establish an alpha position. I'm not big on kibble on the floor all day. Food/eating should be an event which the alpha controls. If the dogs start fighting then food is the fix, the tool.

This guy gets a 110% on the test. The longer the ritual the better with a new dog. Feed one at a time for now untill you get this result. Should be successful the first time you try it. They have inherited this behavior all the way back to the wolf pack, you just have to trigger it.
Key here is that the food is coming from you. You control it. You have to remember that this is dog/pack animal psychology and not human psychology. Doing this to a human/child would be cruel. NOT the case in the dog world. Don't get sucked into feeling sorry for the dog.
If you have two dogs, two plates of food. The submissive of the two waits in order to maintain any pecking order that the dogs themselves have acquired.
Notice that the guy puts the food down and the dog stays. If the dog lunges for the food you have to get between the dog and the food. I did have to do this with mine. You can actually growl and the dog will not misunderstand your meaning. As well as applying a "Cesar bite" which is a four finger jab to the lower neck area.
If the dog snaps at you, you better call me. I'll fix it for a t-shirt.

..adding. This is not just about feeding. You are triggering natural dog behavior that will extend to other aspects of a pack animal living with human. It is and should be the very first thing you do when you bring a dog home. Dogs are born with their brains pre-wired. They are born with 80% of "dog cognition", the other 20% is learned. Humans are born completely stupid with only the simplest abilities for survival. Eating sleeping and shitting as I'm sure your well aware of.

I will say when he said something about a karate chop to the throat, I was thinking if this or any other dog "nips" at me I'll choke it to the brink of death (right when the eyes go kinda grey) and there will be no question ever again over who's "god" (not the alpha) of this fuckin pack.. LOL

So, the fat lazy pug doesn't like the new energetic dog? Big shocker there. :skull

Last time my girlfriend brought her dog over (1 year old aussie shepherd), my pug about had a heart attack from being chased around.

Sitting here looking back on when I brought her home. She’s about 12 now and we have been dealing with some problems over the last four or five days.

She was coughing up blood last Thursday. X rays showed she was “backed up” so we worked on That.

She’s extremely lethargic today and won’t eat her food.. didn’t even want to eat a pizza crust (one of her favorites).

she was throwing up again tonight. I’m taking her to the vet when they open at 9:00 am.

The vets managed to give us an extra year with our precious girl.

I started reading this thread and didn’t notice the date. Then I’m looking at the pics like, “wait, I know that dog!” Then caught the date. Then feared where it was going.
Man, you know we had to cancel on you last year because of losing our dog. Kelly was a wreck. You always know dogs are gonna die before you and that your time with them is too short but damn that doesn’t change how much it sucks to lose a good dog or work on a health problem when they get older 😕

sorry you and Stacy and the kids have to go through it. It’s always rough. Hopefully the vet gets her fixed up and cruising along for a few more years!

Lol.

Seriously, if there are any issues with behavior. Post up.
The mention of food. Don't train a dog with food. Also, dogs don't need to be trained. They need to be led first. Then your wish will be her command. Are you familiar with pack structure?
Stay away from dog trainers. I can hook you up with some Cesar Millan videos.
I can also fix anything that this girl does that you don't like. I need a project dog/owner.

Can you fix one that pees on everything? Lol

My sister had a Chow/Shepard when i was young, the first thing i saw in Daisy, i mean kujo or Sasha was that she looks a lot like Sandy my sisters old dog. Super loyal loving girl, but if another dog wanted to sniff too close they got a bite taken out of them.

Depending on the diagnosis try VetCBD oil.
https://vetcbd.com/ It’s only available at dispensaries - the one in Needles sells it. Use the online locator or Weed Maps.

I have used it for many years on Chloe. She started having seizures and other issues and I put her on it and she’s doing amazing. You need to start out the dosages small to get them used to it or else they throw it up. But it’s so easy to administer. She screams for her 2x daily doses. They also carry a higher dosage for more extreme issues and even for hospice care. Don’t buy the ones at the pet store etc. you need the tiny bit of THC which this one has. It does NOT get them high. Feel better soon Sasha!
