I find the design intriguing. Seems like it would be fairly rattle free.
Maybe a link to the actual hitch so we can look at it might help.

You haven't towed until you have towed with a 2 5/16 ballFor years and years I did all my towing with a 1 and 7/8 in ball without a problem.
When I finally installed the proper 2-in ball I didn't notice a difference.
I think a backup camera wins over this.
Here’s what’s on my Jeep trailer. Has 3 bearings and other than kind of a pain to hitch up it works well on and off road. I like the design of the above better.
