Someone should resurrect the brand.
Go get that, fill some holes and pull molds from it.

How rad would that be with a modern interior and a pair of 450s hanging off the back.

Or a Teague 1200 spinning a V drive setup.😳

A pair of Merc 700s maybe?

Looks like a good deal. They would probably take 500. Only if it was blue.

Definitely worth saving. Wish it was closer to me ( 3,200 miles!) I’d be all over it

RDP baller starter kit. 32 spectra and grab the limo behind it while you’re at it.

I saw it yesterday and considered the logistics....I could build a dolly in a day and put it on a flatbed. I'd be 2k into a 700 dollar 60k project overnight.
I like and know your style 😜

My dad actually gave the molds to Greg Foster (RIP) :(

They are in Parker somewhere

Was this Herbst's or Schoen's 32? I think Corrigan had one too like this

Graphics look like the Herbsts and the Barber Chair seat for the observer is another give away.
I’m surprised there isn’t more interest in building a few?
Seems like it would be a great cruiser with modern power.
The looks of the boat itself hold well today, good looking boat👍

I'm sure for the right person there is interest in one. But not for the average consumer as the market has greatly shifted to cats and deck boats, and anything big with twins more people want wackers now.

eh I got my bahner laying in a field… she was a beauty. Luckily the guy had a forklift. But at least it was sitting on tires and straight. Really no diff than a trailer. Imagine the THUD that spectra made when they yanked it off its trailer onto the ground and then rocked to the side.

So bolt a couple 450s to one👍
There’d be a shit ton of interior room.
Could probably swing a galley and head below deck and a stabin cabin up front.

You guys need to get busy and go pick it up.😊

What’s the story on that? Is that the one you stripped for the warlock burn boat?

Yeah supposedly the guy was gonna slap an outboard on it but last I saw it was sitting in a storage yard in San Diego suffering the same fate as Dave’s schiada.

Total shame. Would make a nice boat. But would take a few cubic dollars also.

Spectra 32 is a badass boat, PERIOD. I think if Someone had the space that picking this thing up and stashing it will prove to be a good thing. If it was a 21’ RC someone would throw $150k at it and not think twice.

I had a Spectra 32. It was a wonderful boat, very View attachment 1258399
Ahead of it's time, Handled well and was fun to drive, wish I still had it!
That's a good looking boat. It looks like a stretched version of my 26' Sleekcraft, same gel colors and woodgrain. I have a Spectra story.

A few weeks after I got back from buying the boat from Nescher, I came across two Houston guys at Lake Somerville that owned Spectra 24s.

I found out what was under their engine covers when we did a three wide race. I was running with the Spectras on either side of my boat, pulling them by half a length and feeling good about it, when both of the boats began emitting a whistling noise and pulled away like I had thrown out the anchor.

😁

We pulled up to chat and they told me about this Gale Banks guy. I called him on Monday, and he told me he could fix me up for $10,500 or something close to that. It was a lot of cheese for 1978, I kept the Harman 440.

😁
