Matt Hughes Fight For Survival

I met Matt Hughes at SHOT Show back in 2014. He was a different person at that show than what he portrayed when he was just a fighter. This is a tough watch, to see the struggle for him and his family after the accident, definitely a tough SOB that's for sure.

The documentary glossed over the train collision pretty good. Makes ya wonder what was going on in his head at the time. Looks like he really put his wife and family though a lot.

I just read his wife and his brother both now have restraining orders against him and she left him because of the abuse. All together sad.

Yup.

Many think the train was intentional. CTE is a very real thing and this is very typical behavior of someone in their 40’s suffering from advanced stage CTE.

Between the CTE and brain trauma from the accident he’ll say never be more than a shell of his old self, like a violent and abusive shell that will end up with tons of legal trouble before he ultimately succumbs to himself.
