A lot of people complaining about Gaetz are mind boggling. If you want real change, it's going to take a no bullshit bulldog like Gaetz to get it done. This is exactly what trump ran on. This is MAGA.

I hope Gaetz gets confirmed first of all (recess appointment?) and starts going after all of these deep state criminals in our government. Nobody should be off limits.

I don’t think he’ll get confirmed. Too much baggage and IMO hell waste too much time with dumb cases. Look at what he did with speaker made republicans look like a shit show who didn’t know what to do when they get power and majority.

This shit cracks me up. I mean, listen to the actual players. They agreed to McCarthy with very specific conditions. McCarthy from day 1 decided to ignore those conditions. Instead, we continued with the CRs, giving Nancy Pelosi control over spending in a republican congress. Multiple members made comments all over the place over and over that this shit had to stop, and McCarthy needed to live up to his promises.

McCarthy ignored all of this. He dared them to hold him accountable. And in the end, Gaetz did.

McCarthy made the Republicans look like a shit show. Do you wish Gaetz would have ignored this?

This is what we are asking for at DoJ. Why would we want someone who will play nice and forgive the people who put a man in jail for speaking up because a school board decided that his daughter's rape was needed for progress?

So although it was excellent bread and circus, it accomplished nothing of measurable results on the real issues.

And one could argue it actually gave Jeffries even more power subsequent to the “accountability” as the conference became less cohesive, less organized and less in agreement.

Shocking that Gaetz gave McCarthy a whole spending cycle to accomplish what he promised, then when nothing got done he fired him. Shocking that Mitch has again managed to end discussions on another spending cycle while installing an exact replacement of himself as senate leader.

One could argue the empowered Jeffreys narrative if they thought Merrick Garland should get more money to investigate Trump. One could argue that if they thought Mayorkis should get more money to prosecute Border Patrol for whipping Haitians. One could argue that if they thought we should increase "aid" so the US can pay government pensions in Ukraine.

Someone living in the real world, who understood the US election mechanism who was actually conservative would have fought to fix voting in Maricopa, and would have fought to get reps and senators who were more conservative than say Gallego. But that is not you so clearly you are not interested in a more conservative curve to history.

I’m actually interested in results.

And when I bring up the incontrovertible fact that Gaetz’s actions did not deliver desired conservative results, measurably it delivered worse results as you outline above, you wish to meander off the topic and point blame elsewhere.

Why is that?

Do you think another year of McCarthy doing nothing, then wasting millions every cycle to try to remove Gaetz would deliver better results? Or is doing the CRs so Nancy is still running spending the "conservative" position? Sometimes, you need to take pain and make the necessary cuts. Otherwise there is no future. You don't care about a future, you have made that clear, and you are more than willing to burn down this country as long as you get personally rich so you can entertain your pool boy. That is of course, your free choice to make. But you don't get to pretend that is conservative. That conserves nothing. It simply consumes.

So the guy making the accusations is in prison for making false accusations of child sex against a political opponent, after he accused a school teacher who wanted his tax collector job, and in a plea got 6 years with a promise to help the FBI get other people.
