Massive lightning storm Las Vegas

It’s been going on since about 445 and my house in the south west got about a quarter of an inch of rain in about two minutes at 5 AM.

This shot is taken from our warehouse which is one block away from allegiant stadium

No, the lightning bolt to the lower right portion of the stadium did not hit it as it was in the distance.

The worst is towards Henderson they’re getting hammered every 5 to 7 seconds.

I walked out this morning to go to work and could smell the rain like crazy then bam! bigass lightning strike really close! My office is by the airport and we are getting decent rain right now

Just be careful, a "hail of gunfire" can come on nice days as well

On a bright note, jobsites in the city were great first thing in the morning. Calm and cool...just before we fired up equipment and woke everyone up

Unfortunately it was pre pants on a pants day.

We had to stop working for about an hour as it was right on top of us in the NW, from about 5 to 6. Tons of lightning even still

We had no less than 500 lighting strikes visible in vegas in 2 1/2 hours.
