I'm still using the used mercruiser scanner I bought back in 2005. But I'm only working on my 2005 Kachina.

I thought you were in the marine service trade. I would expect you to answer this question not ask it

Still using my DDT mostly..I bought the MEDS for everything else. Other than functions needed for the Optisharts, Veradont's and ETECs the rest of the fourstroke shit is for the most part 25 year old automotive tech.

Optisharts? Is that like a shart that is plainly visible?

Sierra STATS is a very good well rounded unit that can handle most systems including pwc but I honestly prefer diacom, even over MCDS especially that G3 bullshit

Theres nothing like getting 10miles up lake to a place with no cell reception and being told I need to do a "web sync." That and merc's own tech support doesnt seem to even know hoe to use it.

FYI on G3 "trim in" means trim out, and "trim out" means trim in.

100% agree. I used DIACOM everywhere i can. I only use G3 when we have to program DTS.

Having Mercury G3, CDI MEDS, and Sierra STATS.

I prefer G3 and MEDS

MEDS is a little easier to view while driving.
G3 is mandatory for programming and DTS motor

I would recommend MEDS for a second system or for multiple engine makes. I have all adapters except Honda and Volvo Diesel.
