I remember when i first bought my boat in 05 this was common. Even on non holiday weekends. If you didnt launch early you were parking close to McCulloch. It was a long walk if you couldn't get the courtesy golf cart ride to and from. When the market crashed the marina was DEAD! maybe 3 rows of parking on holidays and regular weekends. If the marina is packed like that windsor has to be asshole to bellybutton right now. The shit show at the ramps is gonna be epic tonight!

Right! Most of the lower spots were taken up with cars...no trailers. [emoji2962]

I might have to pack a cooler and go down to site six this afternoon :D

Good Luck, drove through there last night, the city has fenced off the entire area where spectaors gather and both sides of the hill, Plus they also have the LHCPD Officer posted at the edge of the fence area --

I'm thinking this should be the year of the Drone that Heckles the Boating Crowd!!

I remember back in the 90’s sitting in line to get on the ramp at the light just before the bridge

the lower parking lot is not for trailers.
I think he was referring to Takeoff Point.

.
But I have seen trucks/trailers parked all day in the marina wipe down lanes......

Memorial Weekend 1990 - I had just moved to Havasu and had not learned to stay off the lake on Holiday weekends, I dropped my buddy off at the Marina dock to go get my truck n trailer - we put the boat on the trailer 3 hours and 20 minutes later - some people had idle and waited so long they actually ran out of fuel –

My fam had a place at moonridge growing up. We split our time between havasu and the strip. When we did havasu, we would launch from takeoff point, we also used to love using the fishing area for the truck/trailer guy to jump on the boat until that pesky security baracade on the water blocked boats from the area. Anyway, we bought an old beater f150 that we kept out at the river and used it to save a spot, we'd just pull it straight up onto hillside and bring the other truck/trailer right behind it. We nick named that old beater the beach chair ;)

That marina is a gold mine
$15 a pop to launch on a holiday weekend and it's full
Add in expensive gas and all slips full

$20 a pop on weekends and holidays at the Marina!! Cha-ching!

I went down to walk the channel yesterday, I don’t go out on these stupid busy weekends but do like to see the shit show, the parking lot was a shit show, no parking anywere, and this knucklehead was in there with a boat stopped at about dog park, traffic backed up 20 deep, I pull out and around, open my window and tell him there is no launch in here, then he wants to fight he and his buddy he is shooting the shit with, not caring about blocking the road, , I said,”meet me at the dockdigon” dumped the clutch laughing, I just went home.

Just got out of the pool
I think I’m going to pass. From all the talk of how full the marina and Windsor is I don’t think I want to go anywhere near the island right now.

I’m going to sit in my bunker and wait for the worms. :D

I have not seen it this busy in over 10 years. The guest slips in the Marina are full, making parking a bitch for slip holders.

6 was shut down last night. Tons of cops. Non stop sirens after fireworks.
I guess they were telling people to dump beers and citing them. That didnt go over well with one guy.
Cops came in full force.
Id stay away tonight

Oh the joys of a private launch ramp at the Islander. No traffic, no lines!!! I’m already on the water too
I'm interested in possibly buying in there . Trying to stay 150k range though . If you see something worth while let me know . Thanks !

Y'all are fkn nuts! I went to our busiest local lake today. LOTS of room in the parking lot, only drama was the big west wind. Made for a good boat ride! I see pics of the channel at 7am and full, pics and stories of the ramp situations, and I just can't get my head wrapped around why the F anyone would subject themselves to the mess.

That’s why both of our boats are on the trailer in the garage this weekend

Went for a ride to see the aftermath at about 9am
Marina wide open.
Plenty of parking at ste 6 and yes it's fenced off for the bystanders
Rotary park maybe half full
Police still out in full force
Someone needs to check on the guy on the ground. Never even moved lol

We must have been on a different lake than some here yesterday.
We launched at Windsor at 11am, maybe 3 boats in front of us, even asked the ramp guard where the heck is everyone?
Went to Steamboat for an hour or so then headed to Springs for big stick and burger, again no real crowd at springs..
Headed back upto steamboat and rafted up for a couple more hours, some people there for sure but Far from what I would call crowded..
Pulled boat out around 5:30pm at Windsor and waited for maybe 5-6 trailers in front of us and out of water no problem.
Today is poolside, thought it would be way more crowded today but the traffic on the lake headed north and traffic on London bridge road headed to Windsor ramp from the North is still very light..

I worked the ramp 4th of July in the afternoon. No big deal for people getting off the water. It seems with the 3rd ramp in service has really helped.
