MaK decided to throw a curveball in our boating season tonight...

I'm not very happy about the circumstances but I'm dealing with that appropriately. MaK will be cast up the next several weeks, possible surgery but won't know for sure until Wednesday. they had a hell of a time trying to set her arm. She actually was very calm until they went to give her the IV to sedate her to set her arm....she sang the song of her people for the entire ER at scottsdale shea. One thing about being a parent...when your child is hurt it is a pain that cuts you like a knife. She's a water kid through and through...this is going to be rough.

Having a hurt kid is absolutely the worst. They bounce back so quick, though. Couple months and she will have moved on and be back out in the water doing what she loves. You will carry the burden of injury longer than she will.

Hell of a way to get outa school, but she can claim arm wrestling injury, hitting 90mph fastball, injured while wrestling channel gator. Hope she heals quickly.

Sorry to here about the Li'l one. Boating seasons come and go, some shorter than others, some even non-existent...but our kids will forever be our kids. More stories for grandkids and family down the road, cartoons and movies to watch now.

My daughter did a compound wrist break while rollerblading, I about had a breakdown in the ER when they put her fingers in the stretching device to set it. UGH!!

Its interesting the way Love works. Chosen daily for your spouse but there is NO Choice when it comes to your kids. Its just there and if their happy, sad, hurt, etc you're right along for the ride, having their back 100%.

A "fall" through no fault of her own, deciding how I'm going to handle that situation so I'm not going to expand further unfortunately.

Going to meet the surgeon tomorrow to figure out the best plan of action... She's in good spirits..

Appreciate the good vibes from the inmates. She's going to be bummed she can't give out her hugs for a while which many of you have experienced lol.

If she's in good spirits, then life is still pretty good. We could really learn a lot from our kids, not just them from us.
