I finally pulled the trigger on upgrading my 2005 Magic 28ft Deck Boat. After seeing all the new boats with the kick ass interiors over the last couple of seasons at the river I was thinking of buying a new boat. My only hesitation was that I really like my boat... my Magic has plenty of room not to mention all the cool trips & memories we have had on this boat over the past 14 years. Oh and the best part it's paid off So I made the decision to move forward. There were a couple of things on the boat that always bothered me. (1) Nowhere to store my personal items like keys, cell phone etc. at the helm. (2) Weather stripping always coming off the edges of the cubbys & ski lockers (3) Lighting in the boat & navigation lights sucked (4) The interior of the boat was always boring to me. Those were the main things. The hard part was finding the right shop to do the work. I had my favorite interiors pics that I would refer to when shopping the upholstery project when it occurred to me to just call the shop that did the upholstery in the pics. That would be DCB Performance Boats . I wasn't sure if they would take on the project... But I hit them up anyway. It was the best choice for me. Once I reviewed the project with Carlos things just fell in place. The DCB Team was amazing to work with. The communication with Carlos & Eric was outstanding. The final product is spectacular. I was blown away with the transformation. The build was more than just Upholstery. The Captain/ Co-Pilot Seats were rebuilt along with the back bench seat. Head rest were added to the seats, side panels were rebuilt/ enlarged. Interior used was mostly Marine Vinyl with a touch of Alcantara. We didn't stop there. Lighting was upgraded throughout the boat to New LED Rigid Courtesy Lights, Lighted Cup Holders, and Accent Lighting. Exterior Navigation were upgraded to LED Cat Eyes & Whip ... These lights are much brighter than the original lighting from 2005. The next step was the carpet. I wanted to the carpet to flow with the seat upholstery. With adding Diamond Stitching & color striping along with SeaDek at key positions throughout the boat we were able to achieve a nice blend of colors throughout. This has been a fun project and cant wait for the season to start and get back on the water. Just wanted to share this with anyone who is interested in doing a build like this. Some shout outs and additional info. Great job to Teague Custom Marine 825 Whipple Supercharged Motor, Max Machine Workx SCX Upper with SC Lower, Imco Full Hydraulic Steering, Livosi Gauges, Speed Of Sound Lake Havasu for the Kick Ass Sound System, Rockford Fostgate Equipment, Daley Visual Ceramic Coating, Issota Aria Steering Wheel. If I am forgetting anything send me a message I will try to answer it. Check out the pics. Let me know what you think.
