He did not want anything bigger than the M-29 and Dave said two 1350's would not fit.

From the beginning.

1. 21' Eliminator rigged at DCB with twin ModVp Mercs.

2. 22' Eliminator rigged at DCB with triple 300 Drag Mercs.

3. 22' DCB with twin 300 Drag Mercs.

4. 26' DCB with twin 300x Mercs.

5. 29' DCB with triple 300x Mercs.

6. 26' DCB with twin 300xs Mercs.

7. F-29 DCB with single 1350 Merc.

8. M-29 DCB with single 1350 Merc.

All this started in 1990.

He says this is the last one. Like I believe that.

Interesting to see him vacillate between 26s and 29s. He should really like that M, congrats to him

Maybe because the cost of one 1350/M8 is 250k?:D:p
That's probably still cheaper than any twins and will run as fast as a lot of them without the additional weight on the stern.

Didn't that white M29 with twin 565s run 120 or something like that? What would twin 565s cost?

That's retail...no one pays retail...I think I would build it with a #6...less drag and it would be fine with the power.

I don't think you get a choice to buy or not buy the M8 with that motor package.

Tony said the 565s boat ran 120 off the trailer but they think it will see 125-126. He also said it was on a boat show special at 335k in RD's interview..:D

That sounds about 20mph short of the 1350. For speed it sounds like a win. For all around boat, I think twins would work better.

Either way, it's out of even my lotto budget!!

way cool boat I like it a lot.

I can tell you that the Texas F29 with the 1350, that boat works awesome. That boat ran side by side with my boat from 60-100, it is a rocket. It got on plane real nice and was wicked fast accelerating. Looking forward to hearing how this M29 works with same power.

I think both boats are great too! I think I'd take the single 1350 over the 565s boat if they were side by side..but I love both of them..;) I've always wanted to go for a ride with Tony in that green M31, 1350s boat! One of my all time favorites! That is an amazing hot rod!:👍

You have had plenty of opportunities to go for rides in nice boats. I hope you take advantage this summer. Not everyone is lucky enough to ride in boats they may never afford !
