Maybe now the Cracker Box class can reunite! Come on guys let’s have a huge class Thanksgiving weekend in Parker.

SCSC is not with APBA anymore. Therefore CBRA started running with SCSC again when that took place. Screw APBA!

Not bagging on any boat racing and the wife and I watched a ton of it in our early years, late 70's early 80's but what happened to heads up racing? All this bracket stuff just doesn't do it for us old timers that used to watch, RR jet, comp jet, blown gas jet and the equivelant classes in prop driven boats. Of course big boys are much the same minus TFF. Tommy Papp was a VERY good friend and built my 18' Earl Smith gullwing way back when.
I agree about the bracket racing. Just doesnt do it for me. Limit the power and set-ups they can run, but dont limit the time they can run IMHO.

At least bracket racing on water is a little more fun to,watch as there is more going on that on the strip.

Getting P-55 ready right now!

By any chance you have a pic of any of Bob Hewitt's boats? He lived up the way, many years ago his daughter and my sis were friends. He was the go to in the area when we needed AN fittings...in high school that stuff was like unobtanium! Last time I saw him was near 20 years ago.

Bob Hewitt can be seen at local So Cal car shows regularly. His daughter Karen works at my kid's elementary school in the admin offices in Rancho Cucamonga. Ca.

Thank you! I am glad he's still out and about, playing with cars. I was afraid to ask anyone, as he was a bit older than my dad. I lost him 11 years back. Last car I saw him with was a Chevy Cameo, blown with dual quads, partially built by Boyd. He's probably forgotten more than some of us will know.

Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy. He had a Chevelle for a while and now he has the Elco. I tell him he's a legend in drag boat racing all the time and he just giggles and down plays it. haha

I just got some garage envy! Looks like a 34 tudor on the deck, some sort of 28-34 chassis on the lift, and a 37 parked on the mezanine! Oh, and working on a cracker boxo_O

I believe you about nailed it. I don't remember who made the roller though.

I'll take a photo of an old car body that's sitting out at the ranch. Maybe you can identify it for me as no one else has been able to.

I'm really good with early ford identification...helped pay my bills for some time. Early cars in general I got fairly good with just from being in and out of rust piles everywhere. I found a 34 body with a title a couple summers back. Building that one for me. It will end up rat rod body, but have some wild plans for the drivetrain and suspension. Right now everything is on hold...have the money saved, but waiting for concrete guys to take it...putting up a 40x50 with 17ft walls. I was thinking of setting a 4 post lift like that, freight elevator! It will be nice to get my brake and shear out of the horse trailer...
