I hear you, but I would think that a CC based on a 8'6" beam would still be functional, and would sell better than the closed bow/mid cabin versions of the bigger V bottoms. Shockwave's 29 is a great boat, and I think it would make a great CC. Likewise for the Shockwave 34, Cobra 32, Lavey 32, Howard 36, etc....

Concept does that well
I believe sunsation has a 290 Cc

Just pricey to make happen. Plus DECKBOATS are #1 for us builders currently.

I get it. If companies have their hands full with demand on deckboats, why invest in new decks for center console V bottoms.

I remember Concepts being pretty cool even in 2005 ish. Great boats

Sunsation stopped building the 288 sport boat base CC. Heard a few reasons why, but not directly from the factory.

To clarify any questions or speculations CarreraBoats is open and we are located at 820 S. Cawston Ave., Hemet, CA we are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5PM,Saturdays by appointment only. Themolds belong to Carrera minus the exception of the Lavey Craft molds all except the party prowler which is now a Carrera model! We continue to do business with CHRIS Sr. and look forward to the projects that we have at our hands now. We will stay focused on what we have to do to produce boats and build a reputation that speaks for itself, walk-ins are welcome and if there is any questions like I said above the 28 party prowler is available and ready to build NOW!!
We do not and will never build anything illegally and those statements will be taken serious!
We are great full for all of the returning customer and new customers we continue to serve and look forward to learning and growing in this amazing industry!
If there are any questions on builds or any service to your boat our mercury certified tech and the team here at Carrera would love to be of assistance!!
We encourage all to stop by or visit us on the web at www.Carrera-boats.com
Or follow us on Instagram @Carreraboatsofcalifornia
Post up some pics of your builds, Mikey!

CC are also more expensive to build because of the extra accessories to install such as toilet, sink, macerator, generator if equipped. They also take longer to build because of the additional items which I think is probably the biggest factor. We could get a boat to water testing from a bare hull in 350 hours which was goal. The only thing we didn't do was install the upholstery as that was done at the main factory. That time however might have to be adjusted depending on the amount of radars, screens, and other accessories that were purchased. A comparable sized cat would be less than that simply because there are less parts to install.

I agree...I think there is a market for a 23-24 performance custom center console (300 or 450 powered) and a 26-28 V market with twin 300-450 motors... I think the 8'6" beams would be great on lakes/rivers in the west.... in big blue get yourself seakeeper! :)....I am surprised no one out West has jumped on that ....closest things are the 32 Sunsation or 34 nortech and look what they charge for those....
