After being called out for his father’s ties to Mexican drug cartels, Arizona Democrat US Senate Candidate Ruben Gallego said he barely knew his father and that his father “abandoned” his family.

I have the receipts to prove that is not true.

According to what Ruben wrote in his own book “They Called Us Lucky”, which was published in 2021, Ruben said he visited the "family farm" in Chihuahua, Mexico. This place is connected to the Juárez Cartel.

Ruben’s uncle was assassinated by a rival drug Cartel in Mexico during a turf war.

It’s also worth noting that Ruben’s father's birth records in Mexico have been scrubbed.

The fact that Ruben’s father's birth records in Mexico have been erased, indicates efforts to conceal his background. Despite claiming no contact with his father, his father likely attended Ruben’s wedding, revealing that he has misrepresented the extent of their relationship.

Ruben described poor people in his book as “trash” and said his father’s construction business “had gone bust” when Ruben was in Junior High.

According to records that I have uncovered, that is also a lie. As you can see from the business records from Ruben’s father’s business, it is still very much active in Chicago, Illinois.

His father’s name is Jose Angel MarineLarena. He came to this country from Mexico as a resident alien.

His father’s business is called JLC Group Inc, and records show Jose filed an annual report for his construction business in May 2024.

Ruben’s name is also not “Ruben Gallego”.

It’s Ruben MarineLarena. He changed his name to hide his connections to his drug trafficker father who should have been deported.
