Anyone know someone that has a surf, skate or ??? store that sells them? Or perhaps even a hookup with a Oakley sales rep? I'd like to start off with buying 10 pairs and see how they sell. If all goes well I'd like to buy more. Obviously I would need a discounted price to make it work or even perhaps a business partnership.

Let me know.

He's really busy. Send me all your info and requests and I'll pass it on to him.

Do you have a store front? How do you plan to market them?

My sister in law is sponsored by them and has a personal rep. Her rep might be able to do something for you. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll run it by her.

No store front needed. If I can get them at wholesale or even slightly above it will not be an issue to sell 50+ a month.

a store front could be a requirment. Also plan on a nice sized buy in to get the good deal. Most places do this to protect their resellers and keep thier product from being whored out on e bay and other low buck internet sites.
I always have to send trade references, a copy of my yellow page ad, fill out credit app and do other back flips to pick up a new product line.

I would think Oakley would be pretty strict on how their product is sold.

I'm not trying to talk you out of it. Just kinda wondering what their requirments are.

Yes I'm quite familar with that. One reason why I asked if anyone has a store. However, there are ways around it. I've seen people able to get stuff below the wholesale cost as they find out who the licensee is and buy the product out the back door.

So I suppose if you got this "hookup" you would pull a business license, pay the taxes, pay the proper insurance, workmans comp, to support your local economy.....:hmm gotta love the "under the radar guy" always trying to do whats right(for themselves)

i was trying not to comment on this .. but this pipe dream of selling any product from oakley "privately" is "NEVER" GOING TO HAPPEN, without any legal ramifications from oakley's legal department --- check out oakley employment oppurtunity, on their website www.oakley.com, to possibly becoming an outside salesperson, or to work at one of the "O" outlet stores ... that'll be your best bet, to have your oakley sales dream, become a reality -- good luck

Where the hell did you come up with that?
Maybe you're the one hiring illegals as I never even insinuated that WYRD would be so inclined. That's an allegation that I don't find amusing. Either WYRD hiring such or myself inferring that he would.

Thanks for asking as the business license/insurance is already in place and we do pay our share of taxes. Business is 10+ years old.

You'd be surprised. Without a store front we were able to get 100k+ on 30 day terms with Nike.

nike is nike (they sold out years ago) ... and oakley is a whole different label -- and with the new owners "luxottica", i can't see them doing anything like this -- but again, good luck
