Well, I'm going to gladly take my well-deserved donut on my election prediction.
I was 100% sure that Trump didn't have a chance in hell of winning when he announced he was running again. . . and my main reasons were as follows . . .
If indeed the 2020 election was rigged, they had 4 years to polish up the game for a repeat in 2024. In my eyes, when she came out of the gate 3 months ago and it was 'reported' as already being a neck and neck race, my bullshit meter went off. I was thinking the 'plan' was to tell everyone that it was going to be 'close' early-on so that there were no big surprises come election day when she 'won', and thus a smooth 'victory/ transition' with as little unrest as possible.
I couldn't wrap my head around there being so many people in this country who hate Trump so much that they would vote AGAINST him, even if they disliked harris. It seems all you ever see or hear in amost every single media outlet non-stop are woke/ progressive ideologies being rammed down our throat 24/7. I figured that the 'numbers' of brainwashed people in this country, combined with a corrupt election process would be enough to do it . . . . (and I won't even go into the rabbit hole of the 'who really runs this country/ world' tin foil hat zone ) . . . I felt we were cooked 100% w/o a doubt.
I was so wrong , and so glad I was.
I heard some interesting statements made by both sides last night after an inevidable Trump victory was at hand. A democrat was saying how the 'identity politics' weren't working for his party and that they'd need to re-think / re-structure moving forward. I thought it was telling to hear a dem actually pointing out some of the shortcomings of his own party. I respected that.
They also summarized some feelings, that the American people have had enough of these 'progressvie' ideas, and that you can't run a campaign on name calling alone. The fact that harris wouldn't take a stand on many topics, or layout any type of policy or direction, left too many question marks with American voters . . . and in the end she just was simply a very poor candidate.
Like many of you, I'm breathing a huuuuuuuuge sigh of relief this morning, and some of my faith in this country has been restored . . . we have a long way to go, but I feel we're off to a great start !
Just wanted to drop in here and take my licks as I'll happily be eating crow insted of turkey for Thanksgiving.
I was so sure we'd be listening to that awful cackling voice for 8 years ! . . . THANK GOD we won't !!!!!
