OH ok, My buddy got an Amazon one and it was crap. Ricky stator one worked .Total garbage! I’d trust a 20 year old factory one before any of that junk!
This is a reminder I need to get my 85 Honda ATC finished.
Yamahas need two cylinders to make power, Hondas need one and are far superior @n2otoofast4u
My ATC 250r has a nice powerband and for sure kinda quick but NOTHING like any newer quad. Sure is fun as hell thoughyou are sadly mistaken. 250r's have there place but it's not building HP or going fast. Motocross 30+yrs ago is about it there is a reason they only built them for 3years.

They suck twice as much because they have 2 carbs.They were TOO FAST and deemed unsafe by the Government. LOL.

My kid wants a Banshee next. I have him on a Blaster with a CT kit now. I've lost the patience to want to mess with the quads, I have three kids running around on them in the dunes. I think he will get a nice/newer 450 next. I couldn't imagine tuning two carbs on a banshee. They sound good and can look good, I still love my Hondas though.Anyone that puts a single carb on a banshee should be slapped

Oh I have a 250 alsoTuning a banshee is super simple. Actually less finicky and more forgiving the a 250r. And their shin will thank you(any 250r guy knows)

I can understand someone being hesitant on a banshee because of the 2 carb deal.
For what it’s worth? My Raptor 660 has 2 carbs also, and is 5x the pain in the ass vs a banshee.

Back in the day when the banshee was the hot item I knew a guy that between him and his new wife had 6 children.
He, the wife, and all the kids rode banshee. And he had a hill banshee on alcohol. So, 9 Banshees total.

- 27.5-30 pilot
- Stock needle(5N7)- clip in the middle (
( @n2otoofast4u and myself may or may not have depleted availability of those)
- 1.5-2.5 turns out from seated on the air screws
- sync carbs

I have practice. I Ditched the TORS system on the Blaster.Caps, cable and idle screws and the TORS are gone. Cost about $50 and an hour of your time

This motor runs pretty good. This ain’t no drag queen. All your stuff is on another level.The engraving on the cyl and the sticker on the swingarm means the price goes down right?
That’s pretty! I’d rather have a water cooled engine, but it was free. The kid loves it. It definitely has potential.Blasters are fun too.. with great potential with the correct work. I have built a few. One of the cyl heads I did.
