Looking for a block wall contractor in lake havasu any good contacts will help.
It that a restrained wall providing lateral support to neighbors above? Not sure if you need retaining or wall to meet pool code. We just had our walls installed a month ago.
I am pleased with the work that they did for us.

There were two other RDP recommendations. One didn’t even call back. The other gave us a price but did not fit our needs. Very pleased with the end results. These images are during the work. They cleaned up much better than I had expected. Oh by the way this is a dark gray split face block. Something a little newer and sometimes availability is limited.

No that was not needed For our application. The front area will need a retaining wall and permits as we move forward to the front of our property. It that a restrained wall providing lateral support to neighbors above?
I called Joe and he’s a nice guy. He came down looked at the job and wants $1,000 for an estimate! Crazy shit out here.No that was not needed For our application. The front area will need a retaining wall and permits as we move forward to the front of our property.
Interesting. That was not the case with us…you got a 909 number?I called Joe and he’s a nice guy. He came down looked at the job and wants $1,000 for an estimate! Crazy shit out here.
Yes sir I do! He said it would go to the job if he was hired, but I needed the estimate for court and he would get it based on how he described to me how he would complete the job. There’s no doubt he would do a great job but holy shit $1000 estimate.Interesting. That was not the case with us…you got a 909 number?
Interesting….I was only joking about the 909.Yes sir I do! He said it would go to the job if he was hired, but I needed the estimate for court and he would get it based on how he described to me how he would complete the job. There’s no doubt he would do a great job but holy shit $1000 estimate.
Wonder if it’s because you said that it will be used in court. A lot of times contractors then have to dot the I’s and cross the T’s. Or he just saw it as an estimate that was never going to be acted on.Yes sir I do! And what trade are you in? Looking for a few other trades for a couple of projects that we have a head of us.Joe Vitela has been in Havasu for 35+ years and is good people. I always liked working his sites.
Could be, but all I’m asking is what it would cost to replace and upgrade an existing wall, for instance if you were involved in a TC and got estimates to fix your car and a auto body wanted to charge you $1,000 makes no sense. Also the $1000 would be minus from the cost if I used himCould be, but all I’m asking is what it would cost to replace and upgrade an existing wall, for instance if you were involved in a TC and got estimates to fix your car and a auto body wanted to charge you $1,000 makes no sense. So flip it to his side. If you are sure that you are you going to use him then the thousand dollars is just like a deposit check. No sweat off your back. Also the $1000 would be minus from the cost if I used him
I’ve been at my house for 20 yrs and now there’s Damage to my wall, it will eventually get fixed by either it comes out of my pocket, the insurance or settlement. It will have to be replaced by city code. I have never in my life had an issue for getting an estimate for possible work to be completed at my home. In the past I’ve gotten a few estimates for different jobs and always go with the most reasonable and quality person, word of mouth is always good.So flip it to his side. If you are sure that you are you going to use him then the thousand dollars is just like a deposit check. No sweat off your back.
In regards to the auto body shop comparison, I take my car to the body shop. I don’t make them go out of their way to drive to my place and give me an estimate on something I may or may not do. Generally I need to fix my car. From what you were saying, you’re considering upgrading your wall but it’s not necessarily something you have to do.
If this is used in court, you may take the estimate, get a payout from insurance or whatever it may be and leave the wall as is. That’s my assumption on what you are going to end up doing.
I work at being retired, years ago I drove a cement mixer in town. back then Joe was one of the more respected Masonary contractors in town and I never saw any hinky shit on his job sites. Not that I am an expert of anything. And what trade are you in? Looking for a few other trades for a couple of projects that we have a head of us.
My comment wasn’t toward you in any way, what I meant was back in those days a lot of fly-by-night contractors took shortcuts and would do some WTF kind of stuff.Nobody is saying him doing any kinky stuff, he seemed like he knows what he’s talking about and can do the work, he just has standards in his estimate process and I respect that, I’ll just move on.

I’ve got probably 200’ of stuccoed retaining, so I’ve got to match. I’m replacing an iron fence to create some privacy on one side of yard. I would like to push that out toward steet, but I haven’t found property pins on the front side, called a few survey places and said 3.5-4 months out, just wish I could quickly determine my street side property lines and figure out setbacks as it’s a corner lot. my backyard/pool is actually on the side or corner of my lotGet colored split face. Just go to city, with aerial photo printed out, they can show you setback requirements.
