looking for a beat up old pontoon to rebuild! any ideas

i want to buy a pontoon boat that needs ALOT of work i wanna strip it out down to the toons and build a custom boat from the toons up. Any idea where i can find something to this nature for cheap?

kinda looking for:

toons
Controls
motor(not a neccessity tho)
trailer(not a must either)

already got that covered haha im gonna do a full build thread when i find something its gonna be like nothing else i may have 1500 bucks into it after the initial invest ment...

we have an old beater for sail. It's a 1978 Dura Craft, i think it's 26', has a 70 hp merc on it. The motor ran when it was parked, but now won't start. I will look for pics. Don' know if we have any. It is in Havasu. Can give you directions if you want.

Just drive around in havasu and you'll see them in peoples yards beaten up. Knock on the doors and make an offer. Someone will be glad just to get rid of it. Good luck.

Sell the Boat LOL, I did sell my Mini-Boat only to get Screwed on that deal :smackhead hard to trust people anymore. There are several pontoons for sale in CrazyHorse. Kinda a budget just depends on the unit I pick up as of I can sell stuff off of it motor running trailer condition the cheap the better ha ha I want some With no seats or junk seat cus I'm not gonna even usethem

I'd love to have a beaten up old pontoon.

Instead of restoring it, I'd rent it to 70+ year old snowbirds. For $500 per day, I'd supply the pontoon of destruction and a map to the channel.

My neighbor down the road has an 18 footer with motor & trailer. It has not been moved from under the awning next to his garage for 6 years. I keep asking him to sell it to me but he won't hear of it.

depends on if the motor is operating and the size + trailer honestly anywhere from free99 to maybe 1,000 maybe a little more if the motor run good and size of motor

k everyone thanks for all the help i found a 26 pontooner today i have another pontoon im going to pick up tomorrow so it can become a tritoon eventually!

The old guy said she runs it looks like 115 merc on im pretty stoked

500 bucks got a great deal!

built in trash can
box speakers on four corners, with subs under a seat somewhere
hookup for the laptop and dj machine.
Hailing system,
hanging chili pepper lights,
potted palm trees on the corners,
mister system with fans
the BBQ set up
generator
underwater lighting,
underseat red LED lighting,
insane number of cup holders
wet bar, w/ pump sink.
porta potty
water cannon mounted on the front

90% of that is on my list it's gonna be a 100 % party boat you guys will be getting a full build thread when i get a dew quirks worked out of my electrical system

I already have

2 12" subs
4 6x9s and 6.5s
2500 watts of amps

BBQ
New Carpet and wood
Stuff for a upper deck
Third toon
All the ice chests are going built in under seats

Need to find some new seats and some other little stuff but it's gonna be rad
