We usually stay at that Nautical, but thought we would try something different. The wife talked to the LBR peeps at the boat show and got hooked up with some dates in May. Any feedback on the place ??? Is it safe to leave the boat in the slip out front ??? Not really into the club scene, but might be an interesting place to people watch???

Slips are safe and secure only thing I would watch for is someone else hitting your boat coming in or out of the slips. I believe they charge $30-40 bucks a night for the slip on top of your room. Don't get a room above kokomos as you will never be able to sleep. Rooms are nice and clean trailer parking in the summer can be limited and they also have no launch ramp, so marina or Windsor.

I've also thought about staying there. I'd think that from the bars right there the music would keep you up all night.

We have a time share there. Decent rooms, martini bay and kokomos are fun, but yes, don't get a room above kokomos. Slips are convenient of course, but are small and old and in disrepair. Be careful tieing up to them. I've left my boat there many times for a week or more, and never had an issue. The guards are very good, and keep a close eye at night.

All I can say is, it's the only place where something has been stolen out of my boat. It was in the parking lot, at night, they unclipped the tow cover and took the cooler out of my old jetboat. It was strapped in with tie-downs, so it took some doing. They put the cover back down, so it wasn't obvious they took anything... or in case someone was watching they looked like they should be there. I assume it was just teens looking for beer... My speaker boxes were not touched, and they would of been an easy take at the time.

We bought a weekend from them at the LA boat show a few years ago, seemed like a really good deal at the time... until I never used it and it expired - turned out not to be such a good deal;)

Be sure you use it and report back!

I've had a timeshare there for over 10 years, we stay there every year. Good advice on the room choice, keep away from right over Kokomo's, or even the Martini Bay for noise. Better yet, just be in the clubs until closing and be part of the noise. Overall, the place is pretty cool, the docks are in decent shape and they are super convenient. The dock spaces are public until 6 pm every day. and you may not be able to dock your boat on a busy weekend until after 6 pm. After 6 pm, the actual dock space is not reserved, if you stay out into the evening, you might not get the one you want. Martini Bay has some good tapas and good Happy Hour pricing. They do have security, and I've never had anything stolen there, in the parking lot or the docks (yet, anyhow).

I plan a group trip each year for about 200 peeps and I am tired of dealing with the nautical, I think this year may be the year the event moves the London bridge resort.
