Another interesting washer setup is the Belleville which have been used on high pressure steam drum doors typically found in power plants for years.

They help to eliminate this type of steam leak. In this case it was the inside surface of the drum opening. The result was a steam cut, or gouging of the metal. 600psi IP drum. The repair is time consuming and costly.

No they are reusable.
I use them all the time on crushing equipment and hydraulic rock breakers. Both are some of the harshest environments to operate in.

The best thing about them is the come in different widths. So you can get the Exact size you need for header bolts.

I believe they got their claim to fame on holding turbo chargers together?

King Bolt used to stock generic ones, but they quit carrying them about 10 years or so ago.
