The older I get it the more grateful I’m becoming for everything that’s good, bad, or indifferent in my life. Looking back I really can’t believe how far I’ve come from when I was younger, if I keep my roots in perspective it really blows my mind just how far we’ve come. From hustling to make a house payment in the beginning, to starting a business, getting the girl, being married to a good woman and having a family now, fucking wow is all I can say, what a ride.

Sometimes we get a little lost in our own shit and forget to be grateful for what we have going on, these days I try to be very aware of just how much is good in my little world and enjoy the now. That being said I wouldn’t change any of the bad or indifferent things as those are all part of the process that got me where I’m at and will take me where I’m going, grateful for it all.

Just some thoughts over a late lunch on a sunny SoCal day.

I struggle with this daily. The older I get, the more grumpier and pissed I get. I attribute it to the world and society, but I cant seem to shake it.

On paper, I live an amazing life and its what the dream is. But dammed if I can't shake the negativity.

Today I am going to right down some affirmations and keep on the path to Zen!

PS: The only time my Zen kicks in is that first ice cold beer cracked at the lake after prepping for a week to make it happen. Or that 7am breakfast run on a boat that is just running amazing. My head is completely cleared at those moments;)

Listen to Alan Jackson "The Older I get". I thought you were initially quoting the words.

I have totally checked out of following any type of news cycle at this point, quit following random shit on any social media feeds, couldn’t tell you who’s fucking who in Washington this week, or how many people got shot in Detroit today. The worlds always been a shit show and always will be a shit show, having that shit show piped into your pocket via smart phone and the thought that paying attention to any of it makes a difference has not made my life any better over the last decade, so FUCK IT 😂

Gotta be careful with FUCK IT, there is the good FUCK IT and the bad FUCK IT. The bad FUCK IT it will take to to a not so good place, however the good FUCK IT will take you anywhere you want to go right now😉

There are two dogs in every man; The grateful dog that has peace and the angry dog that looks to bite everything..

The one that will overcome the other is the one you choose to feed..

Reminds me of an old joke,

Young Indian kid asks his father how he got his name, the father reply’s that when after a child is born they open the flap of the tepee and the first thing they see is the child’s name. He then says when your sister was born we opened the flap of the tepee and saw a soaring eagle and that became her name, when your brother was born we saw a black bear and that became his name. He then says do you now understand how we choose our children’s names Two Dogs Fucking? 😂
