It stopped as fast as it started in Signal Hill. Sunshine over the ocean and down the coast. Dark and gloomy to the North and West.

Just got home to santa clarita and bamn it started coming down hear lots of thunder

Lightning hit a transformer here in Long Beach just around the block, all kinda of excitement with helicopters and firetrucks. I was sitting on the patio taking in the show when that one struck and I felt it was at the end of the block...and it was. The entire backyard just lit up with instant thunder following, pretty cool stuff. Our dog is turning herself inside out, high strung Jack Russell.

Helping one of our jr superintendent for a week in Compton then I head to Michigan

It was hitting REAL close to the refinery as I was leaving through the turnstile to go home. Told the on-coming crew "good luck". The last lightning strike that hit the refinery dam near shut the place down.

Thunder and lighting was hitting hard in Temecula with a good 45 minute down pour. Light rain now. Still some thunder and lighting and but not nearly as hard as earlier

Charlamagne and Spring. I am bout 12 doors away and the shockwave blew the plastic adirondack chairs across our backyard. It was nuts. Nice lightning show north of the house right now. I'm close to Bellflower/Spring.

Or did the lightning hit what appears to be a palm tree, then burning frowns fell on the stored boat ? The lightning hitting a palm tree, setting it ablaze, burned up a mobile at the Beachcomber mobile home park several years ago.
