Are you one of the Coceletto (spelling) Brothers? If so you guys had two of the most beautiful drag boats ever. I spent hours staring at them as a kid.
I bought the boat in spring of 1990. It was the Running Wild boat.I sold it in 1994 and it was wrecked a few years later.

I finally drug the Lavey home. Since we hadn't had any luck selling it, I'm going to hang on to it, put reverse back in it, and take it out this summer to Naci (costs almost nothing for us to go there). Boat hasn't been in the water in about 5 years and hasn't had reverse in about 12 years.

Finally have enough data to upload pictures...

Gorgeous Boat. I regret selling my 22 offshore. I want another one really bad now.
Thanks. I really like it - we haven’t been able to get the river for the last 2 years and I thought about selling it, but after getting it serviced and out on the water yesterday it changed my mind. This is a keeper. I don’t care how much people say the Mercruiser MPI 350 is a great engine - the 496 HO just blows it out of the water. Yes, I know there’s bigger and more powerful engines out there, but for a non-“race” engine, it’s pretty hard to beat.

I’m guessing you fish off the sides?

I’d like to see a write up on this boat and see how it runs.

Set up for deep drop bottom fishing.

We built the boat from a rotted out Chris craft 390 stinger but due to a mis communication didn’t leave enough room for 5.9 Cummins as planned. Boat sat in my shed for a few years with only occasional work done. Lost interest after Cummins thing. A couple years ago decided to take a stab at marinzing duramaxes. Strb engine is done and runs great on the trailer lol. The kid helping with the engine wiring left me hanging with port engine. Have a friend in Ohio coming to finish wiring to helm so the boat can start sea trials. I have a pair of yanmar 8L 370’s available if the duramaxes don’t work out. Hoping to finish up this summer. As it sits today it’s a 39 cc, lml/lmm duramaxes mild tune, fly by wire Livorsi throttles, gateway for chart plotter gauges, 300&150 fuel tanks, two 5’ fish boxes, Huber 1550 trans, wet sump 6 drives with 34p 18 props. Current seating is leaning post and bean bags. Looking for 50 mph cruise w/ 3mpg for long distance offshore trips. I trust the hull 100% but not the home brew engines. Actually I think they have potential if left at near stock power but really need true marine wiring harnesses.

Amazing work and definitely worthy of a build thread.

Sorry to have side tracked you on your project. Was certainly a great time catching up with you and the family. And MaK does know how to give out the best hugs. hope that she is feeling better. I look forward to the next time we are able to get together. 👍

Y'all are always welcome, its a fun break. Bummed we will miss the lot party, but MaK will make it up with the hug factor down the road. It's kinda funny normally she is very shy..but with RDP friends, especially the ones I see more often she is a social butterfly and not stingy with the hugs 🤣

She's like me...allergies are awful, but she's about back to herself.
