My dad built this in the late 1950's. I'm resurrecting it. Replaced the barrel. Next is new wheels and last should be new gaskets on the gear box. The spit is 1 1/8" stainless. We always did a whole hog on it overnight. Might be doin that again soon.

That’s a 100% Cajun Gulf Coast BBQ and they work great. Plenty of room for the gator’s tail to flip when on the skewer. Some have the other half of the drum as a very effective lid.

My father in law bbq pit. He used to use it for his cook off team and for church events. Now he claims he's too old for cook off and the church has become much less grateful. He might cook 3 pieces of meat on it a year.
