Hits Jersey’s for lunch and stopped by the RDP trailer for a cold one. Pretty slow day on McCullough and at the show. Cool set up though.
Thanks for the beer Dave..

Looks like a really cool event, wish we could have come out again this weekend! Weather today and tomorrow looks really nice.

Hopefully the vendors and organizers are watching the weather reports for Saturday night / Sunday. Gnarly wind storm incoming with 25-35 MPH wind and occasional 50 MPH + gusts.

Are the sand drags really out? That's what I wanted to watch

See post #51. Moved to Dome Valley. Insurance company didnt Ike that campers were only 100’away from the race track. Too late to get barriers.

@JUSTWANNARACE now I am pissed we didn’t get a bit more serious. Had we known it was going to be at some the boys would have dropped the trailer there on Monday on the way home from Louisiana and just flown back down for this weekend. 🤬

I would have been in on that! I actually thought about throwing something together for this race but was worried about track conditions and shut down🤷🏻‍♂️ if I'd a known it was going to be at Dome I may have been a little more motivated! If nothing else would have flown down with a helmet and my jockey🤣🤣

What do y’all think about a boat poker run along with the bull riding, sand drags, Offroad enthusiast runs, F-1 races, and concert events for next year? They were going to do it this year but thought it was too much packed in for a first year event.

Full disclosure the power boating side of Legends of Havasu will be on Mrs Warparty and me so it will be a good time with a full year of planning.

Had a great afternoon out in the desert with @dezrtracer Deb and Caddy sitting on a hill watching the race. The weather was great; the company was better. We missed you @Ziggy and @HNL2LHC

It's pretty cool to have live coverage playing trackside in the desert.
Had a great time with You and Angie. See you in the morning for round 2 in the desert.

This type of racing is kinda new to me … really enjoyed yesterdays events and I agree, the guys doing the live coverage were very good and entertaining too! Also the girl doing the interviews … she had to be a racer herself

I heard every word of the concert from inside my house last night, actually sounded good and I was a little bummed that I couldn't go.

I'm thinking I'll get out of the house this morning and go check things out

Originally it was at crazy horse.. then there was issues with permits, so they moved it to standard wash.. then the insurance company told them no.. so they moved it to dome valley
Did it for sure get moved? I don’t know what’s going on but it sure sounds like drag racing from the refuge.

I was wondering about that cuz outside of some banners hung on the crazyhorse fence I'd not seen anything being prepared there.

Just came back from the Ultra4 Banquet after another fantastic day in the desert. This is the first Ultra4 race I have been excited about in ten years.
Today's racing was epic, the weather was great, and the company was exceptional.

I talked briefly to JT (U4 Race director), and he said they are coming back in 2024 and received positive feedback from BLM. They will run a new course in 2024, not a rehash of this year. I also heard from another source that the course is scheduled to be dragged on Monday, which in my mind, is a huge thing because it will mitigate most of the race impact for locals. I hope that is true.

Most racers really dig the area, and few complained about it being rough; those complaints kind of make me laugh because it was the same people complaining when I was in charge of course design in the early days. I told them to go race with BITD.

This event could have some legs. If I have anything to complain about, it would be packing twenty pounds of shit in a ten-pound bag. There is certainly enough event to spread this over two weekends and fill in the week between. If they could partner with the Parker Enduro, perhaps they could leverage the live coverage. This would make a hell of a week-long festival to rival KOH but with hotels and bars rather than a blown-out wind festival in the dirt.

Great job to MAO, AOE, and Ultra4 USA. I'll work on sharing some video clips.

Saturdays Ultra 4 Crew for the 4400 class . Got a better spot than Friday and had a killer time with @Sportin' Wood & @angiebaby , Gordon , Matt & an unexpected guest appearance by Darian Gomez . Darian said he was running 2nd on the final lap till his gear box gave out real close to us . He came over had a beer , some water and a few laughs , hell of a nice guy . If he didn't break his family could have filled the podium with a 1 , 2 , 3 sweep . Anyone who didn't get to make it out there today missed a good one , can't wait till next year .

I agree. We didn't get to any concerts, but we had a very busy weekend between the race events and visiting with friends in town to work/attend the event. I'm beat! On to Vegas!! LOL The Knollercoaster never disappoints.

It is the little things that matter. I had to go out to the race course to find a lost phone this morning. They are already dragging the course and getting it back to pre-race conditions, which I can confirm; in the section I drove, you would never know that yesterday, they had a race. That says a lot about respecting our desert and being stewards of public lands.

The first year was pretty damn good.

Yes. Took the front protective screen off, and it was perfect. Took the rubberized case off, and the back is completely cracked to hell. Going to the Verizon store in the morning. Phone works fine, for now. I'm afraid to put it in my pocket and bend it with all those cracks. I'm sure if it had been in an otter case, it would be 100% perfect.
