thanks for your interest in the Fun Run. I am organizing the run and can help answer any questions you may have.
There are slips available at Dover Resort and also Sandpoint Marina. We, personally, will be staying at Dover. A bit pricey, but great docks, ability to sleep on your boat, if desired, showers/restrooms and restaurant. Your trailer also goes to the trailer storage lot behind a locked gate.
No live music. With this being my first go at things, I didn’t want to dip my face in the mud! LoL. We will be having a dinner on Saturday night with a cash bar, door prizes, poker hand prizes, and a costume contest for “best dressed crew”. Use your imagination for attire!
The run will be roughly 80miles round trip. There is an option to NOT go to the southern most point and pick up a card at an alternative spot. The stops on the lake will have opportunities for lunch at the restaurants. Fuel is available at various locations.

Wed leave havasu wed morning from Barrett and either stop and stay the night 10 hours in or drive straight through. Boat Friday Saturday and Sunday. Head home Monday. Be cool to get a few others to roll to caravan.

Dover has dock/overnight availability still for those able to stay on your boat. The slip rental is a bit pricey, but they are pretty nice docks and you have restroom, showers and swimming pool access. There is also a restaurant at Dover resort. It may be worthwhile calling to see if they have any availability.
If anyone is thinking of bringing an RV, I do have one spot a friend reserved at a nearby RV park that they won’t be using. Would need to know ASAP.
Willow Bay resort also has a few RV spots and boat slips- that is where the dinner is Saturday night.
Other overnight boat slip would be Sandpoint (State Beach) Marina.

We haven’t yet. Waiting on some scheduling conflicts. If it ends up we can make it we’ll go and figure it out. Even if we just go and watch and boat.

Summer starts about June and goes through about Sept and depends where you live but the winters can get from 6"of snow to 4' of snow temps in the summer hit in the 100* but usually stays about low to mid 90's. Winter's go from 34* to -20ish

We are from So Cal (born and raised until about 12yrs ago now). We wanted to escape the rat race and enjoy the beauty this area of the country brings. Summer weather gets redefined here! LoL In the first few years summer was literally 2.5months. We have heat 85-100.
As we’ve been here longer, summer/boating weather has grown longer as we don’t mind bringing sweatshirts. That has considerably lengthened our summer. We start our boating season in Havasu for Desert Storm/April, then out for Mother’s Day and Memorial wknd we are on the lake/May. June-August is boating. September is very nice for the 1st half of the month. Typically it starts cooling down mid sept. Last year we went out a couple days early October as weather was mid 70s.
Winter where we are isn’t bad. It’s cold November-February. We get snow- but for the vast majority of winter it snows and melts off. It’s cold, for sure, especially when you are used to the So Cal weather. Further north you go, more snow and colder. We are in Spokane Valley. Winter is beautiful. Had to get used to driving in the snow! Everywhere you go is heated, so we find we hardly wear our large overcoats/jackets as it’s just too warm. Obviously, any time outdoors, you layer up. Toy trade water skis/wake boards for snow skis/snow boards and the boat gets upgrades and you take out snowmobiles or side by sides. It’s a great way of life. Wouldn’t change it for anything! My family is very happy up here. The amount of places to go boating that are within an hour or so drive is pretty awesome. We are ON the water from our front door in 25min.

Yup- Us too, Up and bailed from So Cal (Irvine/Newport Beach) 3 years ago. Live in Boise, ID. Not quite as "pretty" as the central and northern part of Idaho (like
Lake Pend Orielle) but still VERY nice. Boating is extremely popular in these parts, its Wake Boat City, seems every person here has a 200k "Moomba" Small performance boats are present but nothing like Havi. It was 104 the other day here and now its raining and 60 degrees. They say, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes" so true. Do I miss the ocean, sure but I do NOT miss the crowds, traffic, abundance of a-hole people and crime. As for the cost of living, don't expect the all mighty dollar to go any farther here, its expensive just like anywhere else. For entertainment? This place is the mecca of out door fun, I have caught more fish in two years here than 55 years in So Cal. Water is abundant, rivers, lakes and streams everywhere. Summer and winter fun all within reach.

Awesome! Be sure to boat Lake Roosevelt in WA. It’s not that far away. It is huge and offers great sandy beaches, too. Houseboats and boat camping is abundant. There’s a fun run each year on Labor Day weekend.
