Recently I picked up a brand new slave.

I call him Todd after my pool man who retired.

Manufacturer says to remove from pool after each use. Previous experience with friends and family members who had these things in the past is to take them out only when having a pool party. What say the inmates?

On my last pool slave I was pulling it all the time and the belts went to sh!t every other month. On the new one it stays in and have not done a belt replacement in 7 months and counting🤷🏼‍♂️ I say leave it. But did just jinx myself. Dammit

I dont have a slave, I have a 4 wheel "the pool cleaner" with the inline leaf strainer, we leave it in except during parties.

It does tend to stop working whenever it trys to suck up long "strings" from the palm trees which requires a tear down.
Otherwise it does do a fantastic job.

I'd be very interested in how well yours works

What a total PITA to bother with one all the time. I have cleaning jets, so don’t need one, but no way would I go through that much effort. Leave that sucker 6’ under until the party begins.
