Im going to Pirates cove this weekend to do some RZR riding any pro tips or cool places to check out. I figured id consult the experts. Thank you.
We have brought our buggies out there a few different times. The terrain out there is rough!! Its also pretty hammered with braking bumps from the increase in off road stuff out there. Its cool to camp along the river and hang out. The only real destination rides we have made are to Oatman and the Bunker Bar. There are a few different destinations out there, might want to stop by the store and pick up a map with all of the trails.
There is supposed to be a descent ride from Pirates to Havasu Landing Casino but I have yet to find the route on a map or on Google Earth.
1st we have plated off road cars- but we had a few SxS with us we got on I40 to cross the river and hoped for the best! Once you cross the river and get off at Topok there is a trail that you can get on right across from Topok that will parallel the freeway and dumps you out right at the 95. Once at the 95 there is another trail that parallels in the dirt and dumps you into the road to the Bunker Bar.whats the best way to get from Pirates to the AZ side to blast down to the bunker bar?

We have done the ride from Pirates to Havasu Landing, it was okay. Terrible on a bike, probably would have been more fun in a sxs. I can help you with the route if you need it, the only tricky part is getting through Lobecks Pass while avoiding 95.We have brought our buggies out there a few different times. ok, thats kinda what I was assuming. We have AZ plated sxs's in the group, but yea, thats the only way I was aware of getting across. I thought you maybe had some ultra slick way.
That is a fairly long ride.
a\ long ride would be From Havasu to state line and back in a day... Pirates to bunker bar barely gets my transmission warmed up... I suppose its all in perspective though...
I’m finding SXS guys are a little different than two wheel guys. We’d do Yucaipa to Primm then back the next morning on 2 wheels! ALL DIRT!
Sounds like you 2 wheel guys have a drinking problem , you dont drink enough ! Lol . Causes more stops !the biggest difference between the SXS guys and the 2wheel guys is about 100-150 lbs, that and you can cover way more terrain on a bike hah!
when i was doing a good bit of a adventure riding we'd do 250-350mi days for 3-5 days (with some shorter and off days along the way if we could find a chill camp or hotel w/ pool)
ill do that with my sxs.the biggest difference between the SXS guys and the 2wheel guys is about 100-150 lbs, that and you can cover way more terrain on a bike hah!

We did the Mojave Trail about 5 years ago in off road cars. We were on the trail in Barstow at 8:00 a.m, 1st beer stop was at 8:30 a.m. We did 167 miles in our cars in 1 day and pulled into the Golden Nugget at dusk. It was a long day and a different deal when you have a destination- I think it wears on your nerves more and is a bit more stressful hoping nobody breaks down and hoping you have enough gas.I’m finding SXS guys are a little different than two wheel guys. Having done that ride, it’s not happening in a day unless you start at 4am and smash the whole way.a long ride would be From Havasu to state line and back in a day... Pirates to bunker bar barely gets my transmission warmed up... I suppose its all in perspective though...
You can trailer down to the AZ side and head from there to Bunker Bar as people mentioned. From the park, you can head north and follow the RR tracks. There are some spots along the river where you can stop for a beer and enjoy the view. If you follow the tracks 19 miles you‘ll end up at the golf course in Needles. 19th hole restaurant for lunch and a cold beer is always good. Just know that the last 600ft to the restaurant is considered city road. Or you can head from the park west and just head into the desert. Lots of trails where you could be gone all day. Helmets and belts required.Im going to Pirates cove this weekend to do some RZR riding any pro tips or cool places to check out. I figured id consult the experts. Thank you.
The SXS is just a sea-doo w/ wheels for quitters.. I make my quad riding buddies carry all the beer, theyre slow, and it doesn't get shaken up that way.the biggest difference between the SXS guys and the 2wheel guys is about 100-150 lbs, that and you can cover way more terrain on a bike hah!

I'll quit before I sit............2wheelsforever.
You are Rg's cousin so I would expect nothing less.I have no problem doing 200+ miles in a day.
But there are also people that think the 95 is too rough to drive a UTV on. And everything in between.
